Thank you for this comparison review! I eventually want to get both of these because I like collecting different bibles but the Bible I’m getting first and will probably use more is the spiral Bible! I am currently reading through my one year expressions pink NLT Bible and I love it! I hope they make an amplified note taking/ illustrated Bible soon!

Thank you for this review! The Illustrating Bible is massive, not very portable, and doesn’t turn easily on the spiral. However, each line of Scripture can generate more than one line for notes. Also, price wise, it beats the spiral Bible by far. All what’s important to you, I guess.

I was pondering the Illustrating as I just came across it for the first time yesterday, so I am so glad to see this. Still don't know if I'll go this route, but I love the look of it as well as the writing space, so I would certainly buy it just to own it if money allowed. But because it's not in ESV, that might be the thing that makes this a pass. But we'll see. I'm just checking things out for now since I won't buy until closer to the end of the year. Glad I came across your channel to see what else you review though. Thanks!

It wd be easy to note "where you are" uppermost on the right page of the CSB : Book, chapter and verses. Or write it on tape and ad it in.

I think I’m going to get the spiral Bible even though I’ve never read the KJV before. I have a really hard time with anything under 9pt font without soecial reading glasses.

I’ll just keep using my interleaved bibles. I am tempted to get the psalms & Proverbs Illustrated Bible because there are so many things to art journal in Psalms.

Thank you for the comparison. You're right....it looks like the Spiral Bible is more for taking notes (although, of course, you could do art), and the Illustrating Bible looks like the margins are more for creating art. Both have great uses! I, too, wish there was a KJV or an NKJV of the Illustrating Bible!

Dayspring = Paragraph format. Spiral = Verse by Verse. Hope that helps. :)

Do they have the Spiral Bible old and new testament or just the New Testament?? I just got the illustrating bible very disappointed 😞 I can't see it not even with my reading glasses . It's headed back tomorrow

So sorry about that font size! Yes the Spiral in in the OT as well (you have to buy multiple spirals to get the entire OT).

My issue with the Illustrating Bible is the “hardness” of the paper vs. regular journaling bibles. The Illustrating Bible paper absorbs product more than regular Bible paper.

Yes, but alway test yours on the last page to see if there is bleed through. Lately I've been using gel highlighters instead of inky ones.

I would get the illustrating bible if the text was large!! Its tiny! Other than that its perfect but I guess if I can't read it it does me no good lol.. I want to talk to these bible people that decide how to make them!! Who wants tiny print?

First thing I notice I prefer the width of the CSB but the spiral on CSB is so ugly and amateurish. Much nicer spiral on the ESV. Besides, I searched for the Pentateuch version of the ESV but that is not out yet.
