Ashwin today touched more than cricket. This what we want. I could see you always have been trying to break the gap between the super celebrity and an ordinary person. Karthik’s words came out directly from heart 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You are great Ashwin, kowing Hindi and English running your channel in Tamil that shows you are not doing this to gain subscribers but for satisfaction, hats off.
Bro most of the time while Indian players giving interview in Hindi even in press conference....As a cricket fan we people who don't know hindi also have that same feeling bro
Murali Karthik was so honest in this entire episode ,, he was so outspoken on every discussion ,, very hard to find a character of such who accepts there flaws yet improves everyday ,, Thank u Ash , u gave MK the freedom of speech and also respected fellow mate , huge respect to you ash bro ! Neenga vera lvl ,,
Happy to hear karthik talk about his under 13 cricket days. Had the fortune of spending time playing with karthik going to the same club at quaid e millath madrasa grounds under coach iqbal. karthik was the star player in the club - very good bat and left arm fast bowler. He also had this chest up alpha posture always - probably inspired jordan peterson's 12 rules of life too haha. Imagine kids spending may june july playing cricket in madras summer carrying heavy kit bags around! Probably weather was milder those days! Much less pollution and crowds those days in Mount road Madras!
It was absolutely hilarious as soon as the conversation started about spirit of cricket. Their views were spot on. We need more bowlers like you guys to stand up for the game. Kudos.
2 unforgettable memories of Murali karthik in my childhood: Inzamams wicket in 5th odi of ind vs pak in pak.which changed the course of the match and we won the series(not to forget Sachin took that amazing catch at the boundary line off muralis bowling.) Ind vs aus 3rd test in Mumbai.already lost the series but we were defending 104/107 and murali was absolutely amazing in that innings.and we won that match.
What a conversation on non strikers run out and completely agree mistake is made by batsman and now we are using TV umpires for no ball why can't we use this to monitor non strikes bat as well. As you said this new rule may keep bowler within so called spirit of cricket villan 🙏 For me who ever punish non striker for stealing a or couple of yard chikily by running them out🙏 Always enjoy your game, best wishes for WTC 👍
Ash, as you said right, this is easily the best i have seen in DRS so far. The way i see murali karthik, will be different from how i thought him before. Murali Karthik you beauty.
just an amazing interview Ash with Murali, Murali an amazing person, there are lot of children who feels like murali and its a great lesson for them too !!! its such an outreach video on shaping personality
Many say a warning should be given for a mankad. My question is why should a bowler give a warning .don’t a batsman know he should be with in the crease before the ball is bowled ? When a law is made in any sport ,you should follow it to play the sport . I don’t know from where “Spirit of Cricket .” Comes from . Does it mean Favouring a batsman even when he is done a mistake ?🤔🤔
Yes, the bowler's crease is there for a reason, if bowlers crosses an inch and gets a wicket it's called a no ball, then why should batsman cross the crease, that too a foot more!
According to rules, batsman can run even if the fielders throw it's batsman bat, but why do batman's don't take single during that time? If you can't understand this, you will never understand why cricket is a gentleman's game
@@ajithkarthikeyathota3874 I meant, you are saying according to rules mankad is correct so bowlers can do mankad. And same rules say batsman are allowed to run even if the fielders throw hits batsman bat while they are running and it results in overthrow. But during those times no batsman take the extra single. If they do the whole cricket world will call them as cheat. These are the reasons why cricket is still a gentleman's game.
One of the best Cricket shows ever on RU-vid. Absolute Gold. We always talk about the cricketers like Gagan Khoda etc who got chance but never made it big. We forget to talk about the good domestic players like Murali Karthik, Badri who were good but ever got enough chances.
I love when cricketers narrate their stories. I could vividly remember those days when Sourav Ganguly was the Captain of India and Murali Kartik used bowl at Inzamam-ul-Haq. I honestly used to watch with a lot of trepidation because Kartik came around as someone who always gives a nice flight (something Inzamam would jump on) and believes in deceiving the batsmen in their flight packaged with an occassional but very effective arm-ball. Inzamam smahsed a few but eventually, Kartik used to pick up wickets no matter who the opposition was. He would have been a regular feature in the Indian team if he was not competing in the same era as Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh. The down-to-earth thinking of Mr. Kartik contemplating whether or not he deserved a place in the field is very much in line with the Inzamam - Kartik battle where Mr. Kartik started as an underdog and had the last laugh as Sachin Tendulkar managed an unbelievable catch at long-on! I am no one to make suggestions here. But Mr. Ashwin, besides your witty comments, astute knowledge about the game, supreme presence of mind and complete bag of tricks with the ball, you are almost a social activist and an influencer because you are cultivating optimism and propogating social welfare with or without intention. We are all deeply indebted and proud of not just your on-field contributions but also your off-field contributions through your RU-vid channel. It would be more useful and helpful to the people if the audio is enhanced just a little bit because there are millions of people following the wise words and never-ending stories of cricket and life and rightfully so. It would be so sad if some thoughts are lost for this reason. Please consider using a microphone of your choice. I have added some names to help you get an idea. (I am not getting paid from anyone for this). Blue Snowball Blue Snowball ICE Blue Yeti Rode Podcaster Rode NT-USD Mini Wishing you many more successful endeavours as a cricketer! Thanks for all that you do. I am learning a lot and enjoying a lot watching the contents of your channel.
❣️❣️easily the best can't even blink Beautiful conversation and connect i remember Murali Karthick bowling against Aussies 7 Match odi series if we had an Ipl at those he might be the bankable player ! Both of my favourites in single frame
The recent commentator I enjoy the most in the box is our Murali karthik.... great fan for your commentary..... specially during your post match presentation..... Ash machan ur really doing great job❤... such a treat to watch u both❤
I have never understood the argument about spirit of cricket. I've always agreed with what Karthik and Ashwin did. This was a wonderful conversation. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Amazing and energetic conversations between these two. Great show Ash, enjoyed watching it. Good to see you back with so much energy after covid issues
We should call out "No Run" + "Ball On" when the batman was out of the non-striker crease. Let use the same "No ball" Technologies for non-striker also. Let us blow the Siren for Batman also.
Ashwin DRS is one of the best series. Its good because you let them talk and listen and ask questions based on how the interview is going . Like that you are talking with personalities from multiple fields and not limiting to cricket.
I always loved Murali Kartik's style of coolers + rudraksh(or simple neck band?). You missed asking about his amazing spell in Mumbai in 2004 and his ODI performance after being picked from commentary box.
Nailed it..... This is the very best episode which I ve seen in DRS with ASH .... Gave a different perspective about Murali Karthik, about under shadow pain, workload playing county cricket, and other side of Spirit of cricket.... Loved it.... Thankyou Ash for bringing out this lovely conversations for an ardent Cricket fan.... Sad for keeping only one Like button...
One of the best interviews. Thanks ash and MK. Great discussions and insights. Especially county cricket learnings and mankading. 100% support your views on mankading. Thanks Ash for this episode.
Dear Mr. Manikantan Ramachandran, I have always been hurt that the name of the great Vinoo Mankad has been irrevocably associated in a very negative way to the act of legitimately running out a non- striker. I have always wanted to write to crcketers like Ashwin, Murali Karthik, Kapil Dev ( Peter Kirsten run out) to start a movement to vociferously object to people who refer to this with negativity and also link it with the great Trojan warrior of Indian cricket Vinoo Mankad.
Badri and karthik most underrated batsman and spin bowler of their generation. It is a pity that they did not play longer bcos of a lot of non cricketing reasons 🤦♂️
Murali Karthik is one among the cricketer from TN like Badri, Sridharan Sriram, who should have gone to greater heights than what he have achieved.. but due to the heavy competition and huge talents at their during his time made him to satisfy with lesser international matches..
Thanks Ashwin Anna for showing us the other side of Murali Anna. You were absolutely true about how many people will resonate with "Are we really good" feel Murali bro shared. Brilliantly done. Enjoyed a lot. Thanks for doing this show regularly. Lots of Love!
Being a non Cricketer, I just loved this episode. Murali is so honest, casual and loving.... Good Show Ashwin... This is the best episode from your list.... 👌👌👍
such a delightful interview and most people would resonate with the thought of lacking self confidence , I am really learning a lot from this interview and implementing few things in my life,
Wow nice to refresh memories of domestic talents like Abhijit kale, Amit pathak, Rizwan shamshad, Nikhil Haldipur, S. Sriram, Kulamani parida etc. These players were amazing
beyond anything brother u jus touched my alter ego :) and made me cry as i was going through the phases as i feel saying the right thing is not the best thing ... always says nice thing which ur manager or CEO or VP expects u to say.
@ashwinravi99 Your shows are an absolute treat... Muralli Karthik just poured his heart out and was fascinating to see him being courageous, confident and secure to speak the truth, pure truth without caring about perception 👍👏👏👏❤️
