I've been waiting for this for a while. The entire film was shot really well and it was really terrifying. The acting was superb and I love the fall atmosphere. I also love that it paid homage to H3 with the ringtone and also the original 1978 film with the closet scene. I loved the lighting and the movements by Michael and the way the camera really caught his movements. Can't wait for the continuation of this! Congratulations Rene!

He portrayed him very well. Also, Hannah did great job as the lead. Words can't can't express how much I enjoyed this short film. Everyone did such an amazing job. Excited to see what you do next!!!

I've been waiting to see this for so long. I can honestly say it's one of the best short fan films I've seen. Wish this was a full length film. The cinematography is spectacular. Plus the knod to Halloween 3 with the ring tone was a plus in my eyes. Great job! I really hope to see more like it in the future! 🤘🎃

Words can not describe how freakin amazing that was!! Literally from beginning to end we were on the edge of our chairs! Props goes to the whole cast/crew and mainly, the director! You did an amazing job Rene and you did justice to the Halloween community of fan films! Honestly one of the best we’ve ever seen! Vincente did an outstanding job as “The Shape” and Hannah did a wonderful job as her character, a lot of “Halloween” 1978 flashbacks here, a lot of references and that “To Be Continued” at the end, has us on our feet to see what’s to come! Can’t wait to see feature projects, and we definitely can’t wait to see more films from you guys:)

It was decent, better than most. I just had a problem with that closet scene though, I get it was paying homage to the original, but when Michael breaks through it came off more funny than creepy, almost thought Mike and Jay made a cameo. Lmao

Never Hike Alone was incredible. This just didn't have any character building at all. By the end, I simply didn't care what had happened. Not to mention, re-using part of the climax of the original Halloween (closet scene), felt kind of cheap. It could have at least been mixed up more. I also wish that our main character would have shown more emotion when she killed her (friend???). She was softly crying while she should have been wailing. Also, the police wouldn't shoot her if she was just standing there with the knife. She made no movements at all, so they wouldn't have shot her. All in all, I'm very interested to see you continue, because it has potential. Very well done cinematography, nice angles, nice lighting choices, Myers was fairly well played... I just don't think it was fleshed out well enough. I don't even remember the main characters name. Was it ever said? Anyways, just a few things to think about moving forward. I wish all the best to you, because you're doing what I only wish I had the means to do. I'm not bashing anything, just trying to give constructive criticism. Good luck! Can't wait to see more!

Best Halloween fan film I've seen!!!! I jumpd at during a few scenes and the adrenaline and suspense was pure Carpenter '78. Hats off to you.

How could anyone give this a dislike? The fact that the younger generation is getting inspired by the greatest horror movie of all time is nothing short of amazing. It's people like this that I look to for the future of great horror movies. Also the Silver Shamrock jingle for the phone ringtone was a nice touch. Well done. Keep making short films. The genre of horror needs creators like you!

Great camera work. The lighting is fantastic. Love the essence of this film. Great ending as well, leaving her to live and to witness him walk away as if it was just part of nature. Leaving her in suspense.

I never noticed Michael was bow-legged

It’s such a shame that the lead actress is so poor because everything else is absolutely superb. The cinematography is excellent, the atmosphere is pure Halloween 1978, The Shape is perfectly portrayed by DiSanti. It’s a shame the lead’s acting undermines the film, I mean did anyone believe she was in actual fear at any point? Great effort by everyone else involved though.

There was some elements of this film I felt were OK. The musical score was spot on, imagery and quality was solid, but overall it felt like the build up took too long to get past the initial build up only to abruptly transition to a chase scene. I felt the character development was lacking, and homages in the film felt a little too forced. I think with a little more character development with more than just one character, a longer run of the film... say 30 to 45 to allow the story to breathe a bit would have really made the film a bit more believable in it's story. Overall though the production quality of the film itself is great.

Wow! Fantastic camera work, mood, lighting. Score was excellent. The actress and Vincente did an amazing job! Not sure what more you could have done with the short time! Which was the only problem, it was too short and I'm jonesing for more asap! Bravo guys! Hollywood take notice!

As a fan film overall it’s beautifully done. My biggest gripe is the over use of tracking shots and some laughable dialogue.

this was good but the main character was really dumb why would she corner herself in the house instead of running down the street aND immediately calling 911 also how did the cops not notice michael walking away from the scene?

Man some people needs to pick down the most stupid stuff - dude watching this was SO clear how much work and gone through stuff you put into this movie! The closet scene was so good, total flashback buddy. Even the way Michael walks, is easy to see is put a lot into!

I’ve read a lot of negative reviews on here and I cannot believe these people are so harsh. I believe if you had a $30 million budget you would nail Halloween. RU-vid comments are full of trolls. I’m a huge Halloween fan and this is my fav fan film by far! You nailed everything to the T! I guess my only complaint is the hair on Michael’s mask. But that’s about it! I make fan films too and this is good guys!

Yeah, no where near as good as the original John Carpenter movie, but will say, far better than Resurrection. Saw the "To Be Continued" and yeah, think I'll be down for a sequel. Ok finished watch, initial thoughts: Incredible love letter to the fans, if you've seen the original a lot you can pick out some great little details added in, was fast paced and fun, actress was solid almost the entire time. I would easily watch this again if I wanted to watch halloween but didn't have the time or didn't feel like watching the entire halloween movie.

To be honest. i expected more of this film.. The title is what made it interesting. Sadly it's just another typical fan film about Myers stalking and killing.. And it really doesn't have any originality at all. Even copied the closet room scene from the orignal film.. But great effort none the less.

The story was solid and I didn’t see the ending coming. Can’t wait to see wait you have in store for the next installment.

Not bad Rene! I enjoyed this fan film. I especially enjoyed the camera movement. The actor playing the Shape did well and the actress running for her life wasn't bad either. Thank you for this fan film. Keep it up man!

Good concept and enjoyable for a one time watch. However sadly didn't live up to its hype. For a 20min piece it deffinately had a narrative although just about lost me by the first 7mins of walking and titles. The overall feel to the piece did resonate Halloween but it did fall short in terms of tension and unpredictability... Some shots took away from the tension such as being chased broad daylight seeking help from houses with no answer yet the road is continually busy with cars passing.... hmmmm flag a car down! Overall good effort but a 1 time watch and not anything new or different from the 100s of other fan films out there featuring Michael. Certainly not one of the best but at least not one of the worst.

It was decent. The camera quality was good. The chase sequence was good. I loved the closet scene. The end tho...eh.

I don’t mean to be completely negative or anything, just adding my 2 cents and some constructive feedback. There were some excellent aspects to the film including the lighting and cinematography. However, Some of the more action shots of the initial slash and the friend scene were just done too poorly in my opinion and took me out of the moment. Vincente Disanti was serviceable as The Shape although a couple motions/expressions felt a bit forced and his stance/walk did not feel as natural especially with his arms out a little too wide at first but that could just be my taste. Some of the nods and details were good fan service that felt organic but the closet scene just needed more, I thought it was an opportunity to introduce a cool new element to the iconic scene however without really doing that it just felt more ripped off than homage. I really liked both window scenes of The Shape especially at the end even though I felt the end was the weakest part. The music queues also felt very misplaced to me and felt a little poured on. With all that said, I’m not familiar with Rene Rivas’ work but the framing of the film was the true standout to me.

I guess since I seen Womp Stomp was associated with this I was expecting something on par with Never Hike Alone. Unfortunately I was wrong :/

Wonderful! The fall vibes and the shots were incredible.

Entertaining....worth watching...but to critic this piece is difficult. If you base it on being just a Fan Film it’s very good and I would say it’s a 7/10. To critic this as a short film 4/10.

Just finished viewing the short fan film. For what it is, it is quite a good fan film. If I was to be critical, I can point out the obvious, like the poor acting or weak dialogue, but overall I enjoyed the film and appreciated the effort made by Rene and his team! Plus, he makes great use of the incredible score by John Carpenter. The Spirit of Haddonfield gets a 7/10 in my book. Edit remark: Rene, I advise you add an explicit warning on this video because if my nieces or nephews happened to stumble upon it, it would scare the shit out of them. Just give a fair warning to the little ones.

The movie was a valiant attempt and enjoyable for a fan film. However I’ve eaten Chinese fortune cookies with better drama than that actress. Still I don’t want to discourage the team and dedication it took to put this together. You guys are onto something worthy here. That’s my 2 cents🔪🎃

so..15:50min of movie..the first like 3 min or so was just stills of the town..eh..i waited a long while for this..was it horrible?? NO..but Ive seen a dozen other fanfilms that do as well and better..Good effort guys.

Way over hyped. Over use of insert shots. Not much for depth in the cinematography. Grandma warns granddaughter of Michael Myers. Where have we seen this lately? Michael shows up immediately at the start of the film. Day to night transition was almost instant. The knife looks ridiculous in many of the shots. And the closet scene, really? Normally I wouldn't bother comment, but the amount of hype this short film was getting I just can't help it.

It could’ve been better, we didn’t really get much movie, it was 15:50 min not including the 3 mins of walking in the beginning, better luck with the sequel
