When one reads this book so many pieces of international relations, politics and international security fall in place. All of a sudden the reader understands so much more what really goes on in this world. Fascinating book, especially the very fine line that is walked by spies and how every single word can decide life or death. Adventure is what one would be drawn too, but life hinges on that adventure. Many people want that sense of adventure, without anyone else knowing what they are doing and then are drawn into a spiral. Well, and as recently has been proven with attempted murders of spies, countries will go after double agents with all they have.
