Seldom have I enjoyed a story--and character study--as utterly satisfying as this one. Well done, sir!

A good, gruesome, chiller. It's been a while since I listened to your first upload of this story, but I think this reading turned out better. I can't help but chuckle at the line "Hutcheson was a kind-hearted man" right after he tells the honeymooners that he made a pocket book out of the skin of a man who was tortured to death!

THE CHARACTERIZATION OF THE u.s. people ARCHETYPE IS PERFECT ON THIS PIECE.

It's certainly not a flattering portrait of an American, but he's written very vividly, and serves the Grand Guignol spirit of the piece. E.E.F.

I for one would be interested in an insight into your process by way of a note on why you chose to re-upload certain stories, and what changes you make.

Hi Isa- I re-release stories for a variety of reasons. The number one reason is that these are "Best of" stories that I'd like to give an "encore' to and perhaps attract new listeners to The FICTION FANTASTIQUE CHANNEL. Next reason: these audios were originally crudely engineered, and I've since learned how to better edit and process the sound. I'm also increasingly dogged by "Copyright Issues." Usually, it's the music I use. I originally included the instrumental "Apache" at the end of The Squaw and thought I was very clever. It nicely complimented the grim story. I included a music credit with info on how listeners could find it if they wanted to purchase it online, but the music publishers threatened to burn down my channel if I didn't cut it out of the video. So, PRESTO CHANGE-O, the melody is gone, but the audio lingers on.....E.E.F.

"I want a show for my money, this game I do." I've heard a criminal leader make similar boasts, followed by applause, mind you.

INDEED! Also some passages in Stoker's Dracula are so tastelessly gruesome - shocking even - he's still readable over a hundred years later. E.E.F.
