What’s a BTS concert like? Honestly it’s like you’re high on adrenaline the whole day (esp during the concert itself) 😂😂 An ARMY concert experience usually starts well before the show so you can buy your merch, the new version of the ARMY Bomb, take pictures with BTS cutouts, and anything else that BH sets up for the ARMYs that arrive early. During that time you get to meet to many ARMY and just hang out and dance 😂😂. You also get to hear the boys do their soundcheck if you’re early. Once you get inside, say goodbye to your ears bc from the moment you step into the stadium BH plays BTS Music Videos and everyone is singing along AND doing the fanchants at the top of their lungs (I always call it our warmup for the real show 😂). Oh, and you also get to talk to all the ARMY seating near you and compliment their outfits bc BTS concerts tend to be fashion shows 😂😂. And then the actual show starts and from that point on you’re going to blackout into a state of blissful delirium bc once the intro VCR starts and then the boys come out it’s genuinely nonstop (there’s usually 2-3 VCRs so the boys can change and I remember using that time to sit down, only for my knees to give out like I’ve been standing up for 6 days 😭😭). Finally you go home (it’s gonna take forever bc traffic) and if you don’t realize/experience it by the time you get to your car, in the morning you’ll be suffering from forearm pain (from swinging your army bomb with lethal force) and muted hearing, bc the sound in the stadium??? Deafening (it’ll go away in like a day tho 😂😂). And those are the highlights from the times I’ve gone to a BTS concert ✌🏾💜 (US ARMY)
Their concert is, in one word, energy. Constant, positive energy. The passion and energy they start the show with is the same that they end with 2.5-3 hrs later. And the roar of the army, it’s constant, contagious and incredible. But at the same time, during songs like truth untold, is emotional, soft and beautiful. Listening to 60,000 people sing “I love myself” or such things is incredible and the interactions of the members with army throughout, just creates such a happy, chaotic experience. I’ve been to quite a few concerts in my 44 years and no one compares to these guys💜💜💜
I love Airplane pt 2 so much! They made it because Hobi's mixtape had a song named Airplane and it is kind of a follow up to his song. I like Airplane pt 2 Japanese version better!
BTS have spoiled my idea of a 'performance'... they set the standard so high that everytime I see a USA centric award show performance, I am like "really? only this?"
We ARMY always say if western award shows let BTS do their thing... western media/ industry would see what a performance can look like. And how BTS can outperform most of the other artists.
For the intro to the idol performance, during Hobi’s part, those weren’t dancers. They were actually women trained in traditional Korean drumming, so they were actually playing the drums and performing as they would traditionally. Likewise, at the end of the Idol intro, those were all traditional instrumentalists and dancers (One of the dancers actually made a vlog of how they prepared and of the rehearsals for this performance)
I really loved this performance but red hair Tae will always make me remember how they cried and telling us about thinking of disbanding in early 2018..... Wow now I'm crying too..... Will never forget this 😢 almost 3 years after they told us about it and it hurts like it only happened yesterday😥
Hii! about the sound thing, they're actually live but it's kinda delayed in the video that you have watched maybe because it's screen recorded from the actual live from MMA. The one that u reacted to is from a fan acc and not from the official MMA channel hehe
Wonderful to see you! Absolutely loved this performance! May I suggest you watch their 2018 MMA acceptance speech for Artist of the year. I’m aware it’s a real tearjerker, however I found that watching this speech in particular adds another level to BTS’s performances during this period that none of us had a clue about which in turn makes this performance and several others more admirable...if that’s even possible. Just prepare yourself beforehand, and plan on watching something upbeat immediately afterward. They are genuinely so precious!
Just love love love your intellectual reaction. Understand and also trying to understand many different things they are trying to portray in their live performance. Love watching Army reaction I seem to find different observations and also exactly same observations as me. It’s apparent that we are all one as humans wherever you are from this unity gives all of us comfort that we can all get alone together and live in harmony. Thanks you made my morning. Will you watch the MAMA 2018's version of FAKE LOVE? BTS did a different intro plus a dance break in the middle of the song and its the rocking version of FAKE LOVE. i hope you do watch it..it's equally soooo good.
That same year they did similar songs for MAMA but the act was completely different. It's hard to find but if you can find the Idol from the MAMA awards that year performance try to find it with the beginning part it starts with like this almost soldier feel where all these dancers are coming in black down the aisles streaming to the stage this very very long stage and then marching and then RM pops up on a staircase and does this passionate rap about fake love and the other members are there too everyone chanting his refrain and it feels like a political movement, it feels like a revolution and then that transitions into Idol. It's incredible. Make sure you find subtitles too if possible for RM's rap.
That was also the year at Mama that they won best artist along with all the other top prizes and when they won that final prize of the night the boys broke down and had a very emotional speech. It's a really powerful moment for Army if you can find it with subtitles
The costumes for Idol are incredible too. Each boy has a different era so you have someone dressed in a Motown like suit and someone dressed more like Prince and someone dressed like during the hippies era and someone dressed like a boy band from the 90s it just goes all seven members in a different era so cool Tay is dressed like David Bowie.

Noooooo.. They were awarded the Cultural Awards of Merit for spreading Korean culture and language to rest of the world. its bigger than just the IDOL performance. BTS are the youngest recipients ever only 5 years into their career to receive the award....Other recipients were all in their 50s and decade in their career.

Please find a way to rebalance the volume levels of the video you are reacting to, with the volume of your voice. Since you are reacting to entertainers whose main focus is vocal, it makes no sense to me that it is so hard to hear BTS, while it is so easy to hear you, even sounding at times as if you are shouting, for example at 7:12 in this reaction.
hey regarding the sound thing, they all were singing live (BTS are actually one of the very few idols who always sing live) but actually during this performance Jungkook's mic had some kind of technical issue so his voice sounds a lot lower than the others and if you watch you closely then you will be able to see him actually touching his mic pack in his back pocket quite a number of times trying to fix it. Also thanks for ur reaction :D also i thought i would give a little insight for Idol, it was the title track for Love Yourself Answer the last album from the love yourself series which came out on 24th August, 2018. In 2018 BTS had won the second Billboard award of their career and people kept saying that BTS were getting too westernised and are forgetting their roots, then BTS released Idol which served as a huge slap on all of these people's face because Idol incorporates authentic Korean music in it using korean musical instruments, even the clothing is traditional what they're wearing is called "hanbok" which is a traditional clothing in Korea and if you read the lyrics of idol again you will find that it was a answer to haters.
Hi, actually almost 90% of what they showed on television are usually fixed audio or mixed or had a correction already, im not only referring to korea but for all over the world. And I'm not saying that they are not singing live here, They Are. but im just saying is what we hear on air television are already corrected and fixed versions.
@@jklolovey that’s true but that’s only for the releases to the official live channels. A lot of the videos are the recorded live stream during the actual performance before it’s released onto tv. It’s a similar thing they do with billboard/ American shows.

Jimin won an award of appreciation for the contribution to the global raising of the status and aesthetic value of a Korean fan dance. it is now placed on their trophy wall along with all bts' trophies 😊 he couldn't stop smiling that day
Airplane pt 2 is a follow up from jhopes mixtape airplane. I think it’ll grow on you because it’s so unique, this album really focused on the cultural dances / mixes
I have never thought how hard Fake love is because in relation to their other choreos it seemed right in the middle but then I've watched I-land (survival show through which the group Enhypen was formed) and one of the teams had to perform Fake love and as soon as it was announced they and their competitors went "oh shit, it's crazy hard, not only the dance but also so many high notes and theatrical nature of it!" And I got totally new appreciation for it. It IS a very hard performance to pull off!
Yes! I don't know much about "I-land" but I watched a clip where J-Hope visited for choreo training when they got that song I think. It was so fun to watch, they were all so in awe and tried their best and he was so posed and graceful and kind.
@@YouandMe14 you can watch I-Island on Weverse. I plan to from ep. 1. Enhypen do lots of BTS dances in the show its great. And there are a few episodes with BTS in them. All the members adore BTS. And Hobi is a big fan of the show. S2 will start soon. I watched all episodes with BTS on YT. It's a hard competition show but I liked getting to know all the contestants.
I noticed it’s hard for idols to cover BTS songs cuz of their unique voices and their energy when performing. I saw the episodes in Iland and it was hard for them cuz Jimin and Jin’s high notes and honestly I’m so proud of our boys
@@lalapozada7834 It's just that when they do it it looks so effortless it's very enlightening to see how it is not! Talent aside so much hard work goes into it and watching same performance they do the first time and then months/years later is always so incredible, I'm so proud of them!
The 3J Idol intro is one of my all time favorite things in BTS history. They were all so phenomenal! j-hope's part has a grip on me that I will never shake, his intense popping and precise movements work perfectly with his clothing. Gorgeous! If you get time you should watch all their behind the scenes for this performance! Watching their hard work is so enjoyable. You don't have to react to it but it may be fun content to enjoy sometime. 💜 Hope you're doing great, love your reactions as always!
Their practice is a must watch. In proper lighting and without the background and outfit gloss, they really showed how amazing the dance routines were. In particular, I thought Jhope's outfit masked how he moved his body to the music but in the practice, it's just 👌.
About "Idol" you can watch Dkdktv video explenation for this also xCelest has one. (David one have more info, more korean things, but She have few things that he don't). Airplane pt. 2 is such nice song I really like lyrics, I remember first reading them and I was wow-ed, I didn't think that they would be about Idol life in that way, but more chill, but no they have to put all vulnerable side when you don't expect. (And in this song Jhope part is his part from his song Airplane from his mixtape). When you said matathon, it is quiet true bc in that time Idol was thier hardest choreo (now we have ON), they said it was hard bc it is quick, fast, a lot of jumping, changes, etc. Jhope also said that Fake love choreo is the hardest emotionaly for them, that they have to put them self in that kind of head space that they were very tired later, but without these emotions it wouldn't be it. Ahh they are great I love this performance, and I love the one from Hongkong from this time, Japan was good too - have different version of Fake love. See you 😉
Jimin and Jin said they could barely hit these high notes when recording Fake Love (they said PDOGG wouldn’t let them leave until they got it) so I don’t even know how they can hit them while performing

In this one performance they won over the hearts and minds of elder generation and everyone else. They presented themselves as the present and future while remaining true to their cultural roots. Extraordinary. PS: Jimin's extended eye contact followed by a quick smile and then the look away is classic Romance 101. Yes, that performance was amazing! I remember watching that at work at that time and I really needed some time to breath after this. Fake Love was already great and then Idol with this intro came. It was too much to handle 🔥🔥🔥 Und ich gebe dir Recht. Jimin ist eine Rampensau 😆

They are such artists! Jimin bias and OT7. Jimin's solo dance was stunning. He looked great. And was so eye catching. To me his dance is feminine. I feel like you see females dance this more than males. So the fact that he killed that was 0.0 wowzah. JK's dance was also lovely. Also, felt that I have seen females perform it but not very many men. Hobi killed his part as usual. Jimin's intro to the concert was amazing too. I was at their concert in Berlin in 2018. It was amazing. Aside from seeing the boys in real life and their crazy performances, The atmosphere was insane. Being surrounded by fellow ARMY and collectively screaming our lungs out and singing along. Best experience ever!!! Can't wait until concerts are allowed again.
Ohhh this was the mma performance that led to Jimin winning an award from Korea’s Cultural Conservation Society because of his fan dance! And his fan dance video was also used to promote the korean traditional dance in China!

FUN FACTS: The reason choreography differs with different songs is because BigHit uses different choreographers! Rie Hata is the name of the choreographer who did the choreography for Airplane Pt.2 as well as Mic Drop, & also Anpanman!! She, I beleive lives in Japan, is a single mom who has her own dance troupe! She has also done some choreography for a few othe Kpop groups as well!! One of the ones that BigHit used a lot starting with Dope is Keone Madrid. They've used some other absolutely Amazing and in some cases quite young, new choreographers from all over the world, but of course one of their main choreographers wil always be Mr. Son Sung Deuk, who is also their in-house trainer coach as well as choreographer, who usually goes in tour with BTS to at times restage some choreo or rehearse the choreo when and if needed especially when going on stages of different sizes!!
I've been to their concert it's something you have to experience yourself you can literally feel the energy of the crowd and all the army bomb is a amazing sight to see
