The Stanegate Roman Road - Vindolanda to Corbridge 

This Lidar flyover follows the eastern section of the Stanegate road. The route of the Stanegate from Corbridge to Fourstones was lost. Hadrian's Wall Map shows the road from Fourstones heading to the north of Warden Hill where it disappears. Several years ago I was asked by John Poulter if I could use Lidar to help in locating the Stanegate to the west of Corbridge. However, the findings were embargoed for around 2 years but this is now lifted so the route can be shown.
