Smarshall and Gary in their rom com, while PB willing to die to give a minimum of hope to that world destroyed by vampires and to take mortal revenge on Marceline, and Marceline "maybe" with a little sick affection for PB but willing to kill her slowly out of pure sadism. Anyway, I love them both good. :)
Calling him a bad dad is kinda harsh tbh, he does provide Marcy with great care in vampire standards. And technically he accompanied Marcy waaaaaaaay longer than Simon did.
i just loved that marcy and pb just toy with eachother, like oh theyre DEFINITELY still in gay love here, just..... in the 'toxic enemies who cannot bring themselves to actually harm eachother even a little bit (esp considering how capable they BOTH are...)' way!
@@izlemedenbilemezsinkafa368 because neither of them could bring themselves to kill eachother, even at the cost of their own lives, they couldn't do it, so they both died
@@guifdcanalli a tragic ending, but it doesnt erase the game of cat and mouse they were both playing long before then. and they died together, you dont think marcy would have been powerful enough to kill pb without killing herself in the process?
I personally have thought on 2 possibilities for how the Crown didn’t affect VK. Perhaps the Crown HAS made him mad to a degree, which made him do all the evil stuff of covering the sun and killing all humans. After all he wasn’t really that bad of a guy from what we saw in Stakes. The other possibility is that his own power was enough to resist the Crown’s madness, like a non-cheater version of Winter King. Might be a possibility since he is THE Vampire King. Pretty powerful guy.
The vk was only not a bad guy after being revived. The vamps only didn’t kill all humans in the main universe because of marceline helping them escape on boats. That’s why they are all dead in this one, because Marcy wasn’t there to protect them.
Not sure if you've noticed but the star is the name of a tarot card. So not only does calling Marceline the Star track with her rock star persona but it also keeps the theme of all of the main vampires being named after Tarot. The star on her chest in her red outfit is what the star looks like on the traditional card as well
I actually disagree. I think the crown is making him insane to some extent. I mean he is literally slowly driving his species to to extinction by over hunting their food source. Not to mention that the lack of sun is likely to kill a lot of the food source off too. It’s like Bubblegum said. At this rate the vampire race will die off from starvation. VK was smarter than that in the normal universe. Likewise he seems at bit of more casual and carefree in this universe. All that to me says he probably is being effected by the crown, just not as overtly.
But the vampire king is affected by the madness of the crown, you can tell in his eyes and by the fact that he sits alone in his ice throne room. He also keeps the crown on even after saying that he doesn’t need it…but the minute cake went to grab it he was ready to bite her head off…and we forget the madness twists the user who in this case is the VK who is a relatively chill dude…so him being slightly unhinged while also being a vibe in this world makes sense.
Toxic doomed yuri and the implication that bubbline/gumlee are destined to be together forever in every universe that they coexist has got me by the balls rn
this entire episode (and the next!) made me feel SO many feelings!! the whole bubbline and gumlee thing with bonnie and marcy absolutely despising each other but being in love nonetheless, gumlee being cute and happy in their universe GOOD GOD.
This show is sooo good... it's like AT on steroids. Like the at crazyness and the absence of fillers... i really hope they'll do second season... Maybe not with Simon, but with other characters who never received a proper ending in original show... it would be so great!
Between the VK's interest in the group's escape, Baby Finn being left behind, and even PB and Marcy not dying onscreen, I feel like we might see some or all of them later on in the series. I'm not sure how it would fit into the story moving forward, but I just had a feeling. I could be way off, I don’t know.
The only thing I dislike about fionna and cake world is how little of a role the Ice Queen (/ whatever her human name is) has. Though in the beginning we couldn't connect IK and Marcy either, so... 😅
OH MY GOSH THE FACT THAT YOU CALLED THE "UNIVERSE WHERE MARCY DIDNT HAVE SIMON" THING, NICE also the freaking... barking edits... okay, dude gfkjgfkgfhk man this was a good episode... they really didnt need to kill off that martin and that huntress though!!! i guess it just hammers down the point about them indirectly making the situations in the universes they visit worse... man...
This episode was insane. From the start it just hits you with one banger moment after another. I still cannot believe they made me CARE for Martins... and then only didn't break on his death because of... well... Marceline new look. o uo
I'm a wee bit late, here but going to your topic about a potential universe where Marcy might have died young; I think that's what happened in the Winter King's universe. Based on context clues and the young Marcy made of ice we see there, it's safe to assume she died young when she was still with that Simon. So when he learned to control the crown and projected it's madness onto PB he probably made that little ice Marcy. How he got his hands on the bass/axe is still lost on me, though. Simon DID say imply in the OG series that he knew Hunson, but that was only after he had planned to leave Marcy did he contact him.
7:47 I’d like to bring up the fact that Magical-World Cake (a.k.a. the Cake from Ice King’s “Fionna-&-Cake”-stories/head) has worn Ice Queen’s magic tiara on one occasion (specifically the episode where Fionna and Gumball were beginning to have a thing, only for Gumball to turn out to be Ice Queen in disguise) and was able to wear her tiara and use it’s ice powers without being corrupted, so there’s that. Edit: Also, I think the only reason why people go with the “because Jake is already magic,…” explanation is because they may be associating the fact that he’s magic with the fact that he’s also half-alien, and his magic powers may be inherited from his alien heritage (since his alien dad was shown to have the ability to morph/shapeshift his body, float/hover, and teleport [and how I know all this is because of a “Adventure Time” episode where Jake’s alien dad came to Earth to take Jake back to their home planet, and alien dad used all three abilities. He morphed/shapeshifted his body into something, started floating/hovering after morphing/shapeshifting, and then teleported Jake and himself back too their home planet]).
I think the VK was just too powerful for the crown to fully effect, but he could still use its power another theory I saw is that the crown already had another host and the VK was keeping them prisoner while using the crown himself
maybe vk is not (as) insane because he has mind control powers or something and can ward of the coruption off the crown this way ... just guesssing stuff
I like to think that PB and Marcy didn’t die at the end. Not that Fiona, Cake, and Simon aren’t interesting, but I’m more invested in the toxic trash fire of a relationship they have going on.
I really don't think they did either- but also the episode was really relaxed about murdering tons of characters so I could see either outcome happening. I hope it shows us all the worlds during some end-of-the-season montage.
