New York has many accents. I pronounce New Work that exact same way. Just depends on the region although I'm not from from New York as I'm from the midwest. Its just the way my folks talk from the east coast as everyone on my Puerto Rican has a New York accent. My roots are from the Spanish Harlem of New York where my grandfather was born. Italians have a very distinctive accent like your Joe Pesci or Robert De Niro as they don't sound the same as my folks talk. The only thing they share in common is the way Rs and Os are pronounced such as Card pronounced as Co-ahh-ed. Or Apartment pronounced as Ah-Po-ahht-ment. There's always an Oh-ah sound to vowels.

I had the chance to see The real deal Chippendales dancer's and it was so much fun. I bought their calendar and they all autographed each page for me under their photos. My jealous ex husband threw it in the garbage 🗑️ I was furious. Still am. They were some fun guys, just doing their job.
Chippendales were such fun! I remember how outraged men were that their wives and girlfriends would want to see men strip (like were supposed to be eunuchs)!! But it was a good clean night out!! The guys were really good dancers and not at all sore on the eyes. They didn’t strip all the way (despite many people’s thoughts to the contrary), they stripped down to a thong type thing. Ooh the good times had by all!!

Nothing wrong with it. They’re 2 independent business ventures. And he was not running a strip club concurrently with priducing a children’s show. The strip club was post-children’s show.
