this is exactly how the prequels started off. Almost every scene in it was considered horrible on all levels, then slowly it turned into ironic praise, then into praise. also you forgot : "*spits* it's salt"
yeah but the prequels werent liked because of dailogues and because they were 'boring', while the sequels broke the lore, werent planned and dont feel like a whole as ep 7 and 8 totally contrast eachother, the chgaracter arcs barely even started and non of them are really complex, they brought back death star copies and they either copied the past or completely contradicted it and that is why I dont think they will ever be as liked as prequels (I could be wrong ofc)
The Prequels, presentation and pacing aside, still had some real substance and background to them. The Sequels were entirely mad libbed and surface level only all the way. People praise the Sequel dialogue over the Prequels' and I just don't get it. So many scenes in the Sequels just have the actors frantically sprinting around chattering endlessly in what seems to be exposition and runtime padding.
From a perspective who just rewatched the entire saga, prequels were honestly generally as fun or more fun (for that one episode) to watch than the originals. I was daydreaming the least while watching the prequels, i only remember that one moment in the first film that was a little too long with the race and stuff
I’m glad I grew up with Clone Wars and Rebels and NOT this Besides, I was lying, I also grew up with these 😅 - I don’t accept them as canon, BUT Rise of Skywalker was my favorite bad sci-fi movie of 2019
@@Travelerfrom2024 You're right. They're better because they have a more objectively clear story plan, tremendous scores, and slightly more mature character arcs on top of that. I can still go on.

@@valentinlageot4101 The biggest problem with the sequels is that they had no plan. They just came up with it all as they went, which works sometimes, but not for franchises with a lore as huge as Star Wars. And the different directors probably had different visions on what the sequels should be like. Personally I don't mind The Force Awakens, but the trilogy gets worse and worse after that.
