Don't forget, O'Reilly is having a fantastic year - but he's 33 years old, ditto Josi. Any regression by either or both of these players means a step back in Brunette's second year. This can be offset by younger players blossoming, but that process has been frustrating with the likes of Tomasino and Glass showing more inconsistency despite flashes of brilliance. The positive is obviously Milwaukee, where at least 6-7 prospects look to have NHL potential. If you get a star center or defenceman, you trade Saros and gamble that Askarov is ready to backup Lankinen.
So Preds beat the sharks but it wasn’t their best game and the fact that they have a bit of a easy rest of the schedule is actually scary because I’ve seen the predators dumb themselves down to their opponents and lose to teams they should beat. Preds are in the second wildcard spot currently and the Wild are on a heater and I actually think the Wild are the Preds biggest opponent right now. I would like them to make the playoffs because it would be good for the team but I don’t think they would go far if they do go to the playoffs.
@@benmcgreevysports yeah that was a crazy outcome I thought the win streak would have been stopped by now. The Preds just need to continue doing what they are doing and they will be there come playoffs!
I I would rather them miss the playoffs because I didn’t expect him to be in a playoff position and most likely we’re not gonna do anything, and they need to trade Saros and get maximum return for him.
@@benmcgreevysports yeah what are they going to do with Soros? He has one more year before you have to pay him and you don’t wanna block Askarov I only like him better because he is younger and cheaper. What do you think soros ‘s price would be if we trade him next year as opposed to this year?
@@keeganmiller1122the return for Saros would definitely be less next season than it would be this season. I’d love to see Askarov up here next season hopefully as a backup goalie because I don’t want them to just throw him in as a starter and him not be ready for that yet.
Yeah I don’t care if they would get swept if they go because it’s to be expected but just the fact that they would be in the playoffs I think would be great especially for the young players
