This week we create this beautiful statement piece with a few simple techniques and some chalk paint! We will use some @Dixie Belle Paint Company products like Dixie dirt and some warm gold gilding wax. I love the way this project turned out. I have refinished furniture for several years. Now, after watching many of your videos I am getting more creative and having fun. I have also watched videos of people who re-do furniture. When they are done I think, WHAT?? It has no style, no depth, no shading, or gold highlights, no pizazz and no fun. Kacha you have spoiled me, in a delightful way. Thank-you! I am so inspired! I don’t know if you’ve mentioned this somewhere, but how come you leave the drawers in when you paint? Wouldn’t it be quicker to paint and dry if you separated them?

BTW: I love the music you have in your videos! Its unique & very good music! I rarely like music in how-to videos because most RU-vid's have the music too loud while they're also talking so I often can't hear what they are sayinv. Your video production is done well & your voice doesn't have to complete with the music! I love your work & all your videos! Oh, PS: are you from Russia or Ukraine? Seems like everytime I've met someone with an accent that makes me think they are from Russia it turns out they are actually from Ukraine :●} I've made that mistake a few times. Kacha I rarely comment but something came to me I know your husband is big part of music for your recording here's a thought pick music that reflects the pieaces of furniture you have transformed like Hollywood glame the music for that could of accented it so much further by looking at music composed then like 40' early 50 jazz. When you do French provencal look at classical music from 1800's or music composed from your homeland in that time frame each pieaces you do has so much history behind what you are recreating today's music doesn't do anything for the beauty that is coming from your heart❤/spirit. Hope hubby isn't offended know he puts a lot into it. When you do colors from South of the bordered look at Latin dance music . Or Reggie what I'm getting at each culture has their roots in a type of music Racheal Mandy has some cool updeat 40 and fifties music on her yt channel. You two have came so far and now with the store and traveling with Anne you are so blessed. Hope this helps and not offended anyone. Blessing Cindy Vandiver

Can you tell me if I am accenting with dark wax do I do that first, And then go over the entire piece of furniture with clear wax?

No, first you go over the entire piece with clear wax and then you apply dark wax. This way is much easier to move your dark wax around.

I watched one video of yours painting mirror frames from I believe Walmart. I absolutely loved that video along with all your videos!!! I would love to see more videos of you painting mirrors frames that most people would discard or sell in a garage sale and watch you turn the mirror into a beautiful treasure! Can I use chalk color (white) on my dining table without sanding and wax and then use? I mean I want to use and put food and plate on my table after.

I would definitely use gator hide and not wax. Table tops are hard to keep protected because they get used heavy. Add plenty coats of gator hide in really thin layers so it doesn't yellow!

Beautiful as all your work! How well does the paint adheres with no sanding? I Know most chalk paints claim no sanding needed, but I always do, just curious? And also surprised you used wax on top of clear finish coat. I only used Annie Sloan, but will definitely try Dixie.

I enjoyed watching the shading with the dirt and waxes. Sometimes the piece looks purple and sometimes it looks gray! Both look good with the gold and blacks.
