Thames comedy sketch show from 1984 which spoofs low budget horror films and various television programmes, with over the top ridiculousness and non-stop jokes. It has a similar style of humour to other comedy series such as Monty Python's Flying Circus.
In various roles, starring are: William Franklyn, Barry Cryer, Anna Dawson (later played "Violet" in Keeping Up Appearances), Bob Todd, Madeline Smith ("Miss Caruso" in Live and Let Die) and Jimmy Mulville.
It was written by David Renwick and Andrew Marshall, who had previously written the series End of Part One and Whoops Apocalypse.
Directed and produced by David G. Hillier (later directed The Imaginatively Titled Punt & Dennis Show); voiceovers by Bob Danvers Walker (who voiced British Pathé newsreels). Theme tune is by Level 42 members Mark King and Mike Lindup.
It was only shown once, has never been released on video and is now mostly forgotten. (This video will be removed from RU-vid if either it is released on DVD, or if I am contacted directly by Thames requesting such an action be taken).
Broadcast date: Thursday 16th February 1984 on Thames Television. Episode 5 of 6 (Amityville II Luton Town 3).
EPISODE NOTE: also stars Nosher Powell.
SPOILERS: Includes parodies of: Alfred Hitchcock, Sixty Minutes, the Golden Shot.

The post-credits scene is right up there with the best that Marvel has produced. Absolute brilliance!

No TV show has made me laugh as loudly or so often and there's still one more to go. The final episode of End of Part One, whilst funny by normal standards, was disappointing compared to previous editions. Here's hoping they've saved the best for last. If so I can't imagine what...

After working with la Dawson, Kenny Everett proclaimed her "a fantastic chick" - and he was gay! No doubt Benny Hill was in total accord.
