I don’t think the browns really beat the Steelers. The Steelers just completely collapsed. Ben was off the defense was off the play calls were off it was just one of those games for the Steelers. The browns just capitalized.

@@thesportsog2079 the ravens literally have the best rushing offense in the nfl lol. The browns barely had more yards, but only because the ravens players missed multiple games due to covid. The ravens scheme is way better, their running backs are really good even if they’re not as good as Chubb and Hunt, and Lamar is the best rushing qb to ever play the game.

20 years of being the NFL's biggest joke, and we get this. This is still my 2nd favorite Browns game of my life, the first being the Ravens game earlier in the season. Edge of your seat the whole hour. We lost that one but it proved we were headed somewhere. This year, we take the whole thing.
As a Browns fan, it was heaven when they went ahead 28-0. It seemed like a dream. I was not aware of the time that 28 points in the first quarter was a record. The game got a little closer later due to the defense not being able to stop the Steelers but still the Browns got the win!

We were thinking about that whole game. Not to take anything away from the Browns however, Ben could not have been worse in that 1st quarter. Unacceptable performance for anyone, even a rookie. It reminded me of former Bills QB Nathan Peterman against the Chargers a few years back.
@@garrettr2420 he threw over 500 yards because he almost never hands it off. It means that defenses against the Steelers don't need to cover for the run as much and can cover for the passing game. Ben is also slow to the run and when put under pressure, can't escape the blitz. Ben came back in the 2nd half and played well for the most part but his abysmal performance in the first quarter along with a defense that didn't know what to do half the time is what lead to that loss. 28-0 in the first quarter is enough to most QBs benched or replaced in the coming year
That was one Hell of effort on Rothlisburger's part in trying to recover the ball his center snapped. You can tell how much Ben appreciates his center by his effort in recovering his huge mistake.
I think that was because of it being the first play, so if something happens, they'll get the ball back with the whole game to go. Cam didn't have either situation, so he needed to jump on it. Not excusing it, just analyzing.

This reminds me of the first quarter of the 2015 Las Vegas Bowl. 5 BYU turnovers led to 5 Utah touchdowns in the first quarter. The really sad thing is that BYU dominated the rest of the game and would've won otherwise. The final score was 35-28.

I remember being in band practice for the start of this game, and I went to go use a “bathroom break” to go check on the game, and all I see is 28-0 on the notification bar, and I absolutely went insane! I was legit jumping like a happy kid all over the bathroom 😂😂
