Thank you, Carla, for all the information that was so simple to understand. I have a bachelor's degree in accounting, and I wasn't sure if I wanted to test for CPA or Enrolled. Thank you for helping me decide!

I didn’t pass it bck in 2021 - I had a surgery prior to the exam. Thank you 👍🏽 I will get bck to study n prepare for May 1, 2024 May 15 N possible June 1 I’ll update w my progress. Once again, Thank you 😊
Hey, if you are still available for a question, I am interested to hear your advice: I am interested in becoming an Enrolled Agent in 2024 and going through the Fast Forward Academy EA course. Here is my situation: I am currently employed full time at Lowe's and part time at H&R Block as a Tax Preparer. I am also married, have a 3 year old and my wife is expecting our second this coming October. I am interested in starting my own tax and accounting business LLC, but since I have been working with H&R Block, I agreed to not prepare any taxes for 2 years (after quitting H&R Block) as a self employed preparer or working through a competitor like Intuit. Here is my question: Do you think it is more worth it to start my own business and stay away from H&R Block to eventually start preparing taxes in the 2026/2027 season? Or do you think that working one more season with H&R Block to gain the extra experience and start my own side LLC for tax planning and bookkeeping would be a better route? In this second route, I wouldn't be able to prepare taxes until the 2027/2028 season. If you have any advice/opinion, I would be interested to know. Thanks!
