Nah I don’t like this reasoning. Hardships & (in Riots case) daddy issues doesn’t give you free reign to be manipulative, con-artist, home-wrecking, narcissists who are a-holes to children. The Misfits were entitled mean girls. The Stingers were just evil. And I don’t like how they used the pity ploy to get the audience to excuse & forgive their awful behavior.
This song/montage was one of the only saving graces for The Stingers as people, IMO. They were douches because they had to work harder for what they had. They came from nothing; no rich daddy like The Misfits or super computer with god powers like The Holograms--just determination that nothing and no one would get in their way to be the best.
Jem and the holograms had daddy's magical illusion machine and record company. Pazzaz and the Misfits had daddy's unlimited bank account. The Stings on the other hand had... attitude.
manadolly THANK YOU i so agree with you. I wish they had put the Stingers in way before season 3 can you imagine how awesome that would have made Jem. RIOT RIOT RIOT heehee
Riot's Hope!! Explains why Riot isn't a pushover and he let Jem saw his true self! Riot isn't what he seems to be. He has walls built and doesn't show his week ness much. He cares for Jem and for his band mates. It also explains why Riot hasn't given up on getting Jem like a lot of guys in the past have !!
True! I wish we got to see more of Riot and see more of him like episode this. It's more to him then meets the eye. Underneath his mask is a real nice guy. Like Jem said she feels like she understands him now and that's who she was falling for.
Rory Llewellyn This is why your my favorite Band you know what great music is and love your outfits too. Your not weak you struggled to get where you are and you are NUMBER ONE..Along with Mink and Rapture. they are awesome too have great singing voices...i'm sure i'm not the only one that feels this way. By the way love your six pack abs YOU ROCK THE STINGERS FOREVER.
The only thing that bugged me about this is that they had a whole story of how Riot and Minx came together, but then they were like 'Oh yeah, we met Rapture too'
IKR. Riot and Minx at least had a musical history together in Nirvana before splitting from the group to form the Stingers. Riot joined Nirvana while he was in the Army, which was where he and Minx met in the group.
Love the stingers i remember this this song it was heart breaking i felt for Riot and his teammates perhaps this is why i like them along with the Misfits. Riot might seem like a jerk but he's not he has a soft side he wont' really show but a few people. Given his home life i can see. I guess growing up in a military home is hard enough but being forced into the military then getting kicked out. I think he's happier with his teammates i know Minks and Rapture can sing very well. thanks for the amazing upload
This song resonated and resonated hard for little me. I recorded it off the TV by holding a tape recorder up to the TV speaker and I'd play it over and over again. They lyrics are so true and I felt them deep in my core. I felt if The Stingers could struggle through their tough times, then I could struggle through mine.
When you watch this, it explains why Rapture runs cons, even after they are doing well. She probably had to con people just to keep herself and her bandmates alive on the streets. It makes what at first seems like a completely irredeemable trait more understandable. Though obviously, by the "present" of the show, she's just doing it for fun.
This is my prefered song from Jem series . It explained well that with determination , you may reach your objectives in your life . And I liked the Stinger's lyrics in general , they were far better than the lyrics of the two others groups : They spoke about real life , not about being mean (Misfits) or the eternal triangle Jem/Jerrica and Rio (Jem and the Holograms).
Probably the only Stingers song I like. It basically has relatability, but it isn’t complaining but rather telling it like it is with a positive spin on how to deal with it.
One of my favorite songs from the series. The Stingers sound is undeniable. With hard work and perseverance, you can make it to the top. They literally started from the bottom and rose to the top like cream. Before there was Drake, there were the Stingers
Well this proves you can start at the bottom and work your way up with hard work. Then after the struggle you can make everybody miserable when they try to make their lives better. The Stingers motto... haha
wrsltnmusclefan I agree with you on one point : I don't like the Stingers' bad behaviour too! The Stingers have sometimes bad behaviour, sometimes not, it depends. The only times I remember they had a good behaviour was when Riot helped Bannie to find her father and Minx gaved gifts to the Holograms and the Starlights Girls in "Change of Hearth". By the way why don't you question Rio's temper problems? He was really self-centered, arrogant and abusive against Kimber, Jerrica and Minx.In fact he has sometimes the same kind of bad behaviour that you rightly denounce about the Stingers. It seems to me there's double standards about bad behaviour in this series: Rio temper's problems are never really questioned once to the contrary of Riot's bad behaviour. Nevertheless, i recognize that Riot did more bad actions than Rio in this show and even one time Riot was a criminal (con-artist) in Houdini Magic Episode!
Hmmm, nice touch... You did round the story of (IMHO) the best song of this band at both ends (start and finish). Can't wait to see what you come next with...
In many ways they were worse. The Misfits basically let it be known they didn't give a damn. The Stingers were more of the cloak and dagger type. They pretended to be nice but they would take it all behind the scenes.
@@Metalman200xdamnit Yeah true all that. I especially didn't like the time when they were guests at starlight mansion and they were just being really rude to the kids.
