He was a huge fan of fried rice and was super excited about this series. I never got to watch it all the way through with him sadly but now every time I watch your videos or see fried rice I will think of him, and the memory of him will live on in a way that he would definitely approve of. Thank you Alex for you're hard work on putting together the stunning visuals and excited and intriguing dialogue that you always provide to inspire and entertain us wanna-be chefs. I will always look to your channel on saturdays, and pour one out for the fallen homies while I learn from you on how to better myself and the lives of others through the art of food. STRONG heist feels to this video Alex, loved it. Reckon you could all rob a bank as well as make killer stir-fried rice.

Some of the names he uses for the teachers are similar to the ones in the Netflix original: "La casa de papel" also known as "Money Heist". And I felt the same way!

You need a towel. That’s the missing key to this whole video. The weight is all focused on one small central part of your thumb and it’s hard metal. Placing a thick towel on the handle distributes the weight more broadly and evenly by opening the thumb up more. Give it a try. Cheers!

literally laughed my jaw off seeing you searched "翻锅" to learn the skill (truly impressed me haha! ). Btw, a more conventional saying of "stir-fry" is “颠勺”. (Might bring you more concise search results)

Small thing to remember about Chinese chefs: never shake their hands as a normal mortal being, their grip will shatter all your bones

"BiliBili" is an equivalent of NicoNico of Japan (You can tell by the name) "Youku" on the other hand is RU-vid's equivalent (You get the idea)

I highly recommend the RU-vid channel Made With Lau. Mr. Lau was a chef in China, then here in the US, 50 plus years. He is my teacher right now and has made me into a Chinese cook of fair skill and understanding. His son translates, but mostly I just watch him very carefully, how he handles the food, how he moves. Great for beginners.

This is one of the best things I've ever seen on the Internet, crossing the barrier to find the Chinese equivalent of RU-vid gave me feels I can't describe, you've made one adhd hyper focus wierdo feel a little more normal, thank you.

11:40 with the "one minute Challenge" ... maybe, just MAYBE, you need a towel to do it without hurting yourself ... they all use it in the videos, so maybe, that's why :p

As much as I don't care about stir-fry and I don't want to admit I liked this video more than the pizza in Caiazzo and the copper pots in Istanbul... I did. I loved the "wok harder", I liked that you didn't allow the language barrier to discourage you. I mean, I speak 6 languages, and I am not scared by learning many more, but I wouldn't have had this tenaciousness; that impressed me.
