The Altar Stone may have had a brother at Stonehenge! Andrew Collins and Hugh Newman take a look at the remains of a monolith at nearby Berwick St James in Wiltshire that some say could have been moved from Stonehenge in the 1600s.
Andrew and Hugh will be speaking at the Origins Conference on November 2nd 2024 in Wiltshire UK +. live-stream. Early-bird discounted tickets here: originsconfere...

this subject always produces more questions than answers - may the mystery never end

I’m just now realizing through discovery in the ancient granitic region of Missouri, that there are structures like these scattered throughout the St Francois Mountains. These granite mountaintops have remained above water for 1.485 billion years. Many ancient celestial calendars, dolmen and doorways. I find more nearly every time I wander off the beaten path, especially near the confluences of streams and rivers. Some are much older than European sites, possibly some of the oldest worldwide

Yes, I can see the angle cut atop one and the sheer break flat top on the other. Clearly, it is an ancient weathered monolith. Thanks for this video about our local ancestors.

Do a chemical analysis on both rocks to see if they are the same or similar composition.

Were they not the pillars that held up the altar?

Thank you for sharing, this is completely new to me. As you said that it was maybe one rock, straight away I thought somebody should do some tests and later you added that they had and it was confirmed. It would be interesting to know where the rock came from, if it is from the same place like some other rocks in Stonehenge or maybe other henge that's around.

So then, I hope an analysis of just where this broken limestone standing stone came from originally will be done. Thanks to your channel, we know that the Old Red Sandstone altar stone came from Orkney. Was this stone brought from some other far away place?

Very interesting research. I was say that its well know by ancients people due logic and common sense (nature source conection, not city conection), that sumer solstice are time to flowering and sprout energy very apreciated, and winter solstice are regeneration energy resonance, so equinox are the balance point. Cheers!
