This performance takes a look at the annual Stoney Nakoda winter celebration (The Winter Feast); a tradition that dates back up to 100+ years ago. This historical account is narrated by elder Tina Fox and includes memories and perspectives from community members. The pow wow songs included were written by grade 3,4 and 5 students (one start) and celebrate how the Stoney Nakoda people used the Stoney moon calendar each year to prepare and travel from their hunting grounds to this annual feast. This was a tradition that honoured their history and celebrated love for one another.
