Hello, Lovely Creatives!
Today, I am introducing a mindfulness practice inspired by the timeless wisdom of the Alexander Technique: using Neurographica!
This method is rooted in active sensory awareness and teaches us to embrace agency and control over the moment rather than being reactive or succumbing to a deeply embedded behavior response.
"Life is stimulus-response," Alexander famously said. And "in that space between stimulus and response lies our power to choose," as Viktor Frankl beautifully articulated.
The real challenge lies in applying this practice during heightened activation and stimulus moments, and that's where Neurographica comes in. For 21 days, I delved into the symbolism of each finger, integrating it into my being and reshaping my responses. We can retrain our nervous system and create new brain neuropathways by illustrating the hand.
Remember, the essence of this practice lies in the power of STOPPING. Before reacting, take a breath, become mindful of the present moment, and choose your response consciously. We all hold the power to shape our reality.
XOXO
Sara
