In 1995 Dutch DJ / producers duo Tim Hoogesteger and Mischa van der Heiden released an EP with a few tracks on Mischa's label X-Trax. One of the tracks on the EP was the acid / techno track "Access". And that one became a massive hit in the clubs, plus in March 1996, it even made it to the #16 position in the UK Singles Chart!
During the years "Access" got re-released plenty of times, also with new remixes. A few of the names that remixed "Access" are Red Jerry, Secret Cinema, John Askew, Thomas Schumacher and Steve Stoll amongst others.
Because of the 25th anniversary of “Access” I sat down with the guys, in Mischa's beautiful mastering studio, to ask them about the story behind this classic.
