Hi there. Great video dude, as usual. I really enjoyed it. It's a few years old but it doesn't matter, good music is immortal and timeless. :) This track, especially with the sublime Three'N One Remix, is a true masterpiece, a cosmic tune, pure musical poetry. This is, arguably, the finest Trance music & electronic music track ever created. And so it was voted in DJ Mag. For me it is too, no doubt. The fantastic Three'N One Remix of Energy 52 - Café del Mar is my all-time favourite. It is the best one, I believe, it's amazingly good. I haven't heard a better one. Kid Paul's Remix and the Nalin & Kane Remix are also pretty good, in my opinion. Likewise, I also really like a very recent one, Paul van Dyk's SHINE Remix of this gem, it's powerful and superb. I am so glad that I was able to listen to this gem when it first came out, in the early 1990s. Also the awesome remixes, especially my favourite, Three'N One's, right after it came out. The glorious 90s, dude, how we miss them sometimes. :) This extraordinary tune and its various remixes made me love and enjoy (good) music and high-quality electronic music even more. There are other superb tracks too, like for example Greece 2000, and many more, but Café del Mar is so special. Energy 52 - Café del Mar (Three'N One Remix), Three Drives On a Vinyl - Greece 2000, Paul van Dyk - For an Angel, Cherrymoon Trax - The House of House and Jones & Stephenson - The First Rebirth are my favourite electronic music tracks ever. They are so, so good!. I absolutely love them ❤. And many more. :) People with a good musical taste will always love and appreciate these fantastic tracks, now and in the future. 😎 A big salute. Who was the girl in the video? To fill in a little more detail... Kid Paul was in fact in Ibiza off season in late 1992, and was at 'Café Del Mar' when he heard Wim Mertens' Struggle for pleasure being played. He then met up with Cosmic Baby in early 1993, who IS the classically trained musician & pianist, played him the Wim Merten's track, and then they started work on creating Café Del Mar, the name as you stated being based on the Café where Kid Paul first heard the music.

Just wanted to find an old song and I came by this video lul ! It was very interesting , it's really nice to see where it came from gotta say ! Too bad I couldn't find the one I wanted , my mom talked about an "original" version made in 1991 , it was exclusive to a radio? (not sure) x[ , welp , she did told me that after hearing this song , she recorded it to VHS tape .And after all of those years , she couldn't find it anywhere , I tried it myself but didn't find anything ... Anyway if anyone knows what versions it is I would be very grateful :] ! (the difference with that one is that at the end , I quote = "it get slower" or something like that , not sure if I understood what she meant ^^") .

The Porte De Bagnolet might be the best remix of all mixes of this. Insanity it goes back to 1993!

This track really shows the importance of a remix. It’s not my favourite personally, but man that Three’n’One mix was everywhere. It’s the guise in which everyone knows this track. I wonder how much they got paid to do the remix? Where are they now? Do they regret submitting the mix and should have kept it for themselves?

The most amazing thing is actually to go and listen to Wim Mertens original creation of this classic house track and how awkward it sounds. Stil lI think all other artists just got their skills to a more 'up-do-date-level'... and got that Mertens-track out of awkwardness. Fan of Mertens now to be honest...
