I like Jerome Isma remix, but personally i prefer Odyssey to Anyoona also is one of my favorites electronic tracks of all time, because it was one of the first tracks that led me into the vast and wide electronica world. ANOTHER GREAT INTERVIEW, THANK YOU!!!
The original is untouchable, in terms of which remix is best: Definitely, the Jerome Ismae remix which i first heard on Zhu´s Cerqule set. the remix captured the essence of the Original track very well
I fell in love with a girl while this song was playing in a club. It was so long ago, and I still remember the lights, the ambience, every single detail. So to me this track is such an emotional thing.
thank you so much for doing this. Follow Me means a lot to me, and I would say this track was the anthem of Dorian Gray club on Sunday mornings when Marc Spoon was DJing. It sounded amazing on that sound system and the track moved us all emotionally.
This track holds a special place for me, this track has always touched me a lot, I discovered it during the golden age of raves in the 90s, it's the quintessence of a very special era. Everything was magical and everything was possible, a feeling of freedom never equaled. It’s only the people who were there, those who lived through these moments who can understand. Follow me 💫💙
Hey Mate... Congrats for another amazing interview with Jam El Mar! Follow me tune for me it's a masterpiece beyond taking me to the good and old rave days.
I still remember mid-June 2020, when I and a little bunch of good friends, "escaped" the lockdown, for a night out in our mutual girlfriend's garden house outside the city. We had to hire a driver, so when the driver arrived, we all jumped into the car and drove away from the "lockdown city", to a neat garden house surrounded by fresh air, I had "Follow Me" on repeat, while driving (was about an hour or so...) I was so happy, We all could make this "silly escape" and the track in my headphones was so touching and so collaborative with this special moment! I absolutely loved "Follow Me" for many, many years now, but around those hard times, the song hit differently! ;-)
Today is 27 November 2023. I'm back to this video, because on this day, back in 1966, Markus Löffel was born. (27 November 1966 - 11 January 2006). But you knew him better as Mark Spoon. Happy birthday,Markus. We love you.
I remember the release of this track. I was clubbing in London and the South coast and it just blew everyone away, especially as a closing track. I had so many good times to this track. Then after the clubs we'd roll a few spliffs, put the kettle on and listen to Triptomatic Fairytales on the CD system.
Just bought the Limited Editon 30th Anniversary Triptomanic Fairytales Coffetable book ❤ And Follow Me has been one of my all time fav tunes❤🎉. Look forward to the interview!!
This is history of Trance music. Thank to the creator Twan we can hear some great stories. I hope these videos reach more people and bring them back their memories.
Thank you so much! And I hope so too, already very happy that this year I did pass the 25K subscribers and soon 2.5 million views in total. Let's see how it goes next year ;-)
One of my favorite track ever, not the kind of track you can play in a one hour set, but it still got its effect on people when you got time to build a big journey, truely timeless classic (and great for a seamless tempo transition)
I’m surprised it’s taking this long to interview him about this track after all the previous interviews as this track is so unique full of passion goes with saying
Why surprised? Don't forget that Muzikxpress is just a hobby and that I do everything myself, there's no big brand / team behind me. And very important, I have a very limited travel budget; I don't exactly live around the corner of where Rolf lives.... The last 2 times I did visit him in Frankfurt, I did 3 interviews per visit. Now he came to The Netherlands for the book presentation and the DJ set and there was time for 1 quick interview. He did sooooo many great tracks, so for the previous interviews I focussed on the tracks that had the most priority for me back then; the tracks that started it all for him and / or the projects we spoke about. There's still some other tracks I would love to talk about with him, but trust me, it is not always that easy. Time and travel budget are my main issues, Muzikxpress is not my job ;-) Hope you understand!
It is quite possible because Dominik De Leon told me he used Roland JD 990 for this portamento lead sound. And the JD 990 is the rack version of JD-800 the synth Rolf was talking about in this interview. So the same synth and very similar idea. And ofcourse I am waiting for Dominik interview. He is such an amazing producer who made so many classic tracks.
I’ve been waiting for that interview for years, great track. Also interesting to hear him talking about the cover artist, jam and spoon covers really stand out.
Track was massive in Australia, although it was often just the 2nd part. DJs would just drop the 2nd part of the track. I actually never heard the first part till a few years later lol😊
Follow Me is so god damn unique there’s really nothing else out there like it not to mention it’s like 2 tracks fused together the first part is completely different to the second
