One of the most acclaimed vocal house classics of all time, is definitely "Promised Land" by Chicago based DJ / producer Joe Smooth. The track was written and produced by Joe back in the year 1987, while Anthony Thomas can be heard on vocals. The track became a big success and after more than 30 years after the original release of "Promised Land", Joe is still very active in the music scene.
During the Amsterdam Dance Event in October 2019, I had the chance to talk to Joe and ask him about the story behind "Promised Land", his future plans and more!
