You left out a crucial part of the story; he didn't go from three dreams directly to Ireland with nothing but a Bible. He went to seminary, became a priest, continued studying and was made a bishop before going to Ireland. This was YEARS later!
😂 I know! And when he did go, over a decade later, he waited for permission from the ecclesial authority to annoint him and go. Protestants don't get that kind of obedience in a church context.
You are confusing the true Christian missionary, Patrick, with a Roman Papist named Palladius. Patrick had no connection to Rome and did not worship any hellish Pope.
Happy New Year 2024. Thank you for sharing the story behind the hymn " Be Thou My Vision ". The story is not only encouraging but also highly motivational and appreciative of the courage shown by St. Patrick, who later on became a devout believer in Christ. One of my favourite hymns to start the schooling year or to start a new session. What a transformation of Father Patrick !!
This song has been my song for my every morning devotion,,, and pave the way for me as things fall in place for me,,, God been my vision,,, thanks much for the story,,,
Thank you for the story. It makes you appreciate the hymns more and sing them with meaning when you know the back story. Please continue doing this for the next generation. You are leaving a great legacy.
Amen, praise God! Thank you. It has been awhile but I have a new video nearly ready. The enemy attacks those sharing the testimony of Jesus. So please keep us in prayer and may God continue to lead and bless you! 🙏
I’m so happy to have come across you video! I love hearing the back story to our great hymns. It puts our present sometimes relatively light afflictions, that nearly crush our hearts, into perspective as we are reminded of the Lords great deliverance for many out of the dark days of suffering of His own people. ❤
I think the first time I heard this great Hymn was in the Primary School , & primary 5 & 7 used to join up for an hour & sing different Hymns & one of these Hymns was - Be Thou my Vision & it has been my favourite Hymn since away back then , ( May it continue to inspire those who listen to this Great Hymn.)
Misha's Mum Lord and Saviour Jesus already won Jehovah Rapha By His stripes (wounds) He overcome Adamic curse and By His blood cleansed our conscience from Satanic manifestation What a great salvation!
May I please add some info about the tune. There is a medieval song called Slane, about the Hill of Slane in Ireland, and the tune is labelled “Slane” in hymn books. It’s also possible that the later folk song “The Banks of the Bann” might have been the source of the tune - folk tunes have many lives using the same tune. Collecting folk song tunes for church hymns was common, and the 1906 English Hymnal uses this tune. The classical composer Vaughn Williams was one of the editors, and also collected folk songs which were inspirations for some of his compositions.
I'm so pleased that you enjoy it. I'm sorry for the late response, I didn't get the notification. Please stay tuned, God willing I am filming a wonderful new video on Wednesday!! Such an inspiring story, I can't wait! 🙏
It's a pleasure! Funny, because of course I was thinking of this video on St Patrick's Day! I'm a few days late now so happy first day of spring if it applies to where you're at! 😊
The bible warned us not to pray to dead saints .they can't hear us. Because they are not omnipresence like Almighty God ..qe can follow their faith and life style .but pray to Lord Jesus. He is the one who died for our sins. Holy Spirit will intercede with us for us ..speaking to dead is abomination to God ..even after Moses death God given another leader for Israeli children ..no one councell with moses after his death.
I agree with almost all you’re saying but we are to pray to the Father in the name of Jesus. Matt: 6:9 pray to the Father, John 16:23 prayers to the Father, made in his name, John 17 when Jesus prayed to the Father for himself, his disciples & for all other believers. Thank you for addressing this issue about praying to dead people , including Mary. Peace of Christ to you
@@jackieharris1051 But praying for dead people is unbiblical .Hebrew 9.27.There is appoint unto men once to die and after that judgement only ..We have to pray for living people for their salvation till they die ..God open their eyes to know the truth ..Truth set them free .
Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. Ephesians 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. Revelation 3:4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
My personal Testimony - At the age of 11 or 12, My buddy and I were walking and stumbled across plastic bag full of random items. One of those items, a tape of some sort that i didn't understand; I brought home and played it. The song, "Be Thou My Vision." The bag was found in a bush near some shrubs.
1:26 St. Patrick would hardly have displeased with the beer. I mean, one of his converts, St. Brigid of Kildare, in one of her hymns expressed a wish to offer the King of Glory a _lake_ of beer.
How could Patrick's grandfather be a priest when priest were not allowed to marry and have children? Or were the church laws different before where priests could marry? I'm thinking that was how his grandfather could be a priest. Just curious.
This video came out immediately after some devastating news here in Canada. You can call it political, but no, it's not really about politics. It's all about compassion and solidarity. But let's be real -- it does go hand in hand with voting with a conscience.
Seek the true Church Christ founded, the Catholic Church. Do the deep research, read the Church Father's by William Jurgens and you'll know more than any protestant could ever hope to know about early Christians. Have the courage to educate yourself and receive the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ in the Eucharist at Mass.
I have done the research and last year my wife and I was confirmed into the Church Jesus founded, the Catholic Church. People claiming that St. Patrick was not Catholic certainly do not know history.
The satanic Roman Catholic Church is not the true church founded by Jesus Christ the true church founded by Jesus Christ is found in the Acts of the apostles over 3,000 souls were saved after Christ ascended to heaven so don't talk rubbish the true church is a people born again and living a lifestyle of Holiness unto the Lord. Jesus Christ would never be the founder of a church organization that is loaded with sexual immorality and blood on its head and hands wake up
Jesus of Nazareth was a Jew. Let’s get this right. Stop provoking arguments about religion and encourage the LOVE that Christ gave HIS life for. Those who love the Heavenly Father serve and know Christ. Follow Christ, not the religion. Our faith is of Christ alone. Keep your eyes on the prize. Humble thyself in the sight of the LORD.
@@patriciamoulard6752 Christ left us the sacraments, including Holy Communion, which gives us His flesh to eat and blood to drink. He said if we don't eat His flesh and drink His blood, we will have no life in us. Protestant denominations have thrown away the fullness of Christ's teachings for a few slogans, throwing away all the spiritual helps to salvation that the only true Holy Catholic Apostolic Church provides.
I follow an audience of one who is Jesus Christ, Himself. He was a Jew from Nazareth. I bow only to the great I AM. Do not add or take away from the scriptures. Jesus served communion, that’s our example.
How sad that you don't realize that the Catholic Church is the church founded by Christ and the rest that call themselves Christian have rejected the Sacred Tradition and all the helps given to us by Christ.
