Cannot afford high end watch for the moment. Two kids, mortgage, wife ;) but a speedmaster is my go to as soon My budget allows it. Tried one once, 2014 Olympic special edition, I was so sad I couldn't buy it. There was a discount on it, 4500$ Canadian. But for now I'd rather spend that money on vacation with the family before buying myself a 5k watch

I love the design of the Speedmaster and have ONE. Is "Speedy Tuesday" just a slick marketing tactic designed to sell watches and excite buyers or is there something more to it? Just curious.
My point is: being proud of being Dutch, Italian, French, whatever, does not make any sense. If one really wants to be proud of something (however idiotic/vain that is), at least let it be for something one has something to show for, rather than just been born someplace.
A bit of topic... is it me or I am one of the few that doesn't like Rolex watches. Omega, Tutma, Glashutte, Longines, Tissot means so much more! ah... and this one just amazing timepiece... Wish my funds were enough to get me one.
I don't buy ppl use the chronograph function at night. Lume on the markers would be better! I think the lume on the subdial is screaming too much for attention.
Seems I'm the only one posting a comment all the months after the Speedy Tuesday introduction. And, folks, the bubble has popped. Most of the ST were bought up by dealers looking to cash out. Sales of these are going out in bunches meaning real enthusiasts didn't buy many of them, but by speculators. Too bad if you bought just one to flip, they're going for only original retail. You won't lose, no gain. Better to have bought a steel Daytona especially the Zenith movement Daytonas. They are now selling close to twenty thousand could be bought last year for way under ten thousand.
This confirms how hyped watches are now.. ANOTHER speedmaster.. omg.. they litterly spit out limited speedmasters all the time.. i really can't take it serious as a ''limited edition''...
