@@teresalegler2777 Thanks, Teresa. I spoke up precisely because I know I'm not the only one, and I'd love for people to get a better attitude about how they see disabled people. My husband is definitely a keeper, btw. Eleven years so far.

Beautifully said.❤ a friend of mine has cerebral palsy, and she is such a strong, independent woman, and bring so much to the world, and I’ve seen her accomplish so many things, despite what others might assume of her because of the disability. 👏 you are amazing.

@@claudiawang1992 The only thing I want to add here is that a lot of the impediments we face are *not* caused by our disabilities but are, instead, caused by society's attitudes towards our disabilities, and its refusal to make the world accessible to us. Despite the law, I'd say only about 5% of public access buildings are actually accessible; employers will seldom hire us, and, when they do, they refuse to accommodate our needs; transportation systems are often very difficult or impossible to use ... etc, etc. These are barriers thrown up in front of us, not by our actual disabilities, but by how little we're valued in our own world. So, when a disabled person manages to accomplish a lot, she's dealing both with her disability and with ableism.

At graduation, she was in front of him. The photographer took each kid’s photo as they walked down the ramp after the stage. It was so cute that she had her picture taken, then turned and waited for him to catch up so the photographer could take a photo of both of them together.

You will never improve if you keep blaming on your genes .. CP worsens your ability in tone and intellectual impairments in most cases .. It’s purely his hard work.. his genes had only made it worse for him .

Some people study out of hatred or love which are the most powerfull emotions and they can be successful with keeping those emotions and igniting them within them and working on themselves.
