Since Oregon's losing population. It should put up a sign at the border that says if you like almost the highest taxes in the nation and you like drugs come to Oregon we're trying to legalize them and make money off of them . Meaning drugs and taxes both. Wait till we get our tolls in for roads 24 hours A-day and cameras running in 24 hours They don't want anybody getting through the state without paying them for a ticket.. So they will make a lot more money and they won't even call it a tax That's just something a little extra for you. I'm sure you'll all enjoy it Tom Mc Call would turn over in his grave if he saw the oregon Government now. This is the government of excuses they're all trying to look like they're not doing that now but it's a little bit late for that. Also the Government doesn't want you to vote on anything, they want to go around you and approve it without you They know what's best for you, you don't know , so they do not want you having a say in it and it as a citizen. In a recent poll city taxes, Portland was ranked number 2 in United States for cities for highest taxes there's something really wrong with that since it's # 23 in size. The only city that beat it was New York City which is about 8 times as big. You know what Oregon will do, the government will say well if we just had another tax like a sales tax we would do then we would be better. Yeah right on top of an income tax that's pretty high they will keep that too. I mean you almost have to be stupid to think what they want you to think.. Also think that the government of Oregon has launched an attack on landlords to derail people from noticing that they are paying higher taxes than most of the people in the United States I tbink they're trying to keep the people off balance by going after landlords making that an issue and not what they're doing. Which includes adding more fees and taxes like tolling of roads and considering having citizens pay a $1000 a month to homeless people and stuff like that just running the budget up foolishly. One of their family of government was making $10,000 on the side Auditing a pot industry industry . They called it a conflict of interest with her job and the family of government in Oregon doesn't seem like they're going to press any charges just let her go with resigning her job. This is why they're in that industry the government, it's money. Now they want to get into hallucinogenic mushrooms . They were also trying to make small amounts of many drugs legal. It's a drug state now that's where it's going. Bringing in one new drug at a time, pot wasn't enough.

No mystery that the arts are suffering downtown. No one wants to step over a junkie or fret a car break-in when they go downtown to take in the arts. It dramatically takes away from the experience. The police are AWOL, and people are doing hard drugs in the open. There's really no draw. Such a contrast with what we were 5 years ago.

The good people of Oregon voted for this. At least they repealed the decriminalization of drugs law.

To blame the closing of businesses solely on the homeless drug user is ridiculous!! The businessman makes a very nice profit out of going bankrupt, and considering we just got over a Pandemic,...then all it takes is a level head to realize that you have two kinds of illegal individual working here. DO NOT TRY TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT ONE, AND NOT THE OTHER!!
