@@christophermauro-barias7451 while I agree, it was boarder line. But it was his first crush. I think many guys, especially those considered nice guys, act when they first get a crush on someone. I know I was very similar about the same age as Freddie, but realized it was wrong. It can easily develop into a creepy stalker depending on the path that is chosen. Freddie, myself and many guys choose the right path, but some don't. That is when a 'nice guy' becomes an 'obsessive guy'. And I do think Sam is who saved Freddie from following the wrong path.
@@kemj9 100%. Nickelodeon loves this trope of boy chasing girl forever and getting cast aside. At least 16 years later it finally happens, but all of the other storylines they have (Robbie and Cat for example) that never do, it's super unhealth for boys imo.

For all the talk about how this arc shows some sort of maturity the fact is that neither have evolved in the slightest. Freddie like any drug addict is making the mistake of being friends and having close contact with the person whose groomed him to always come back,wronged him and utilized him from the every beginning;. Carly may have had some form of freindship with him, but she only ever strung Freddie along to do her bidding in creating her online empire and only gave him a shot when he damn nearly lost his life.She's not stupid. She always knew fully well what Freddie felt and that she would only show as much interest as she needed to keep him in line.She's still a selfish narcissist that couldn't stand losing her precious simp's eternal supply of admiration and knew that by allowing Freddie to slip once again she would lose the one guy she shouldve never turned down but only ever really digged, when she realized he was starting to fall for someone else in both cases with Sam and the new chick. She doesnt deserve Freddie and Freddie once again became addicted to a part of his life he should've burned down for his own sake. The only thing Carly sees in him is this promise of never being left alone after a few relationships that went nowhere, and now because of her impulses she's ruined Freddies possibilty of continuing to go in a healthy path away from her in order to get him. One does not begin a healthy relationship by storming off after the person who says is now in love with you digs into your old wounds to get an emotional response out of you. I would have accepted the fact that Carly sort of owed Freddie a kiss at the end or that she at her age would be jealous that her simp is falling for her best friend, but all the things Carly has done as a grown adult show that her emotional maturiy is still at a zero, and that Freddie has regressed back to a mismatch based on the subconcious immature notion that first love is true love forever and other types of such bs because his relationships have not panned out either.

Since the original series, Carly NEVER strung Freddie along, from the very first episode she'd already let him know she feels they're better as friends and Freddie was aware of that, although he still intially kept obsessing over her but with time he matured past it and their friendship grew stronger until subtly feelings came in and at the final episode they kissed.
I love Freddie and Carly's dance at the Groovy Smoothie and I believe that it was one of the best moments of the entire original series. I loved this video!
You know on the surface it doesn't seem like Carly has feelings for Freddie but if you really pay attention she actually does, she just does not usually express them romantically, but she does express them with emotion and physical intimacy in a way that makes sense for her character, especially at so young an age. The complete willingness to share personal space with Freddie is a big part of the fact that she does in fact have feelings for him, then there are all the little glances and smiles his way and the way her mood changes so often based on what is happening with Freddie at any given time. She even shows disappointment or jealousy when his attention is on other girls and sticks up for him when he is treated unfairly, usually by Sam. The wiki page for Creddie actually has a list of every moment of attraction between them broken down by episode and when you start reading it it gives a much better picture of Carly's feelings in the original show.
This show’s favorite boy band is NSYNC. The band’s self-titled album corresponds to the first 3 seasons and No Strings Attached corresponds to the later half of the series. Sam is replaced with Spencer due to same-sex issues with Pittsburgh’s Perfect Parties.
I love the deep dive you did into this. This is something one of my friends and I would talk about in the original run of the series. How close they were, how there wasn't a lot of jealousy between them, and the closeness they shared. Their friendship is still one of my favorites of all time, and I'm so excited to see their romance.
Probably 80% of people of the world was obsessed with this couple when we were kids. But even when we are all grown up now, this couple is capable to make as obsessed again. So there is no discusion in my oppinion why they are they best TV couple ever. They are written in form of masterpiece.
It's just genuinely good writing. THIS is how you write a good friends to lovers arc. The fact that both the writers and actors understand these characters so deeply even after all these years is what makes us so attached to them and want to root for them to get an happy ending together.
He always still loved Carly but Sam showed interest so he gave things a try but it turned out for the worst.. and his feelings for Carly had still persisted till the end even Sam noticed it.

What I love about shipping two people together is seeing them in a love triangle. Like it was with Lucas, Peyton and Brooke in One Tree Hill. Rory with Jess and Dean in Gilmore Girls and Bella with Edward and Jacob in Twilight. Freddie and Sam was very awkward at first but it did make sense knowing how two people who can’t stand each other be able develop some feelings that keep hidden. But I am happy Carly and Freddie finally ended up together. Hope they can make a few more seasons
Freddie and Sam never made sense romantically tho, and those 'feelings' if at all, were more of Sam having that hidden crush on Freddie underneath all her bullying, but for Freddie those feelings were baseless and unfounded, it made absolutely no sense and we were given no reason why he'd want to date his bully. That arc was just for drama in short and it was intentional to show their shippers just how toxic Seddie is and would be. Good thing the characters realized on their own and went back to their dynamic of bickering friends and nothing more.
Well that was me with my wife known her since high school was deeply in love with her for years even took the years break and after almost 15 years we started dating and we have been married for 2 years and counting. It’s not easy by I wouldn’t want it any other way !

It's been mentioned that season 3 is all about their relationship, so I'm pretty anxious to see each episode of them actually dating though out the season, since I've been waiting for this since the original show and I like how they are grown up adults dating now, makes their romance and relationship so much better

I enjoy their story because it almost mirrors my own. Met the girl of my dreams in 2007 (same year go figure) and we became best friends and are still best friends to this day. Making an extremely long story short, we dated very briefly and broke up. I still have hope we'll eventually wind up together so the last couple episodes of the new series hit hard.
Literally same except it’s my ex. He was a rebound for me, but we dated for a year and then broke up, but stayed friends ever since. I got into a relationship after him and that one ended too and on a bad note. My ex has always been there for me. I know he still has feelings for me and I think I’m developing feelings for him too, but it’s complicated because I don’t want him to be a rebound again and we would be long distance, so for now I’m just keeping my feelings to myself and in check and we are just friends. We’ll see what happens in the futrue for us.
This childhood friend romance is lovely during the year 2003 they first met and started being friends as 9 year olds then as 11 year olds Freddie started fancying Carly.
Honestly Creddie is the best TV romance I've seen. Early on Freddie had a massive crush on her and it was a little stalky with watching out his peephole waiting for her to come home or when they hugged not wanting to let go and sometimes not, but after he toned it down and they grew closer and closer I believe Carly developed feelings for him all the way back in season 2 during their dance, but they didn't fully blossom until iSaved Your Life, but Freddie thought they weren't true feelings and didn't want to use her so he broke it off, after that she was just too scared to do anything until her final kiss before leaving for Italy probably thinking she may never see Freddie again. Also in the revival making Carly the one admitting to Freddie was perfect. If Freddie did it it'd look more like Carly was just going along with it for a guy, but seeing the buckle and her being obsessive and weird around him was perfect to show she truly cared.
In the beginning, with the Sam being between Carly and Freddie, that's just it. Carly probably told Sam more to how she was feeling in regards to Freddie (cause friends tell friends the grittier of the details), but Carly was too nice to be more brutal with him hence Sam stepping in. That's the thing being too nice isn't the best course, but because it went on for so long, it fed his delusion of what could be to the point that even Sam could not stop his outbursts as hard as she tried. Brutal honesty might be the best honesty when it comes to letting someone down.
I don't like the show from episode to episode....but damn the storywriting is good. If you skip a lot of unnecessary stuff, this could be a play from Shakespeare
OMG it is so cute, Carly may not have liked Freddie romanticaly as teen's but as they get older it definetly becomes easier to figure out that Carly has feelings for Freddie, but was afraid to show them. But as we all know, Freddie has never been afraid to show his feelings...and that really pays off.
It just proves they were always meant to be. If it was to be seddie that were meant to end up together, despite Jennette's absence, the writers would have respected that and rather paired Carly and Freddie successfully with other partners
