dying could be cannon in fwfw as badeline encourages her to keep going after you die a certain amount of times (farewell is also a dream so possible)

if i were to force a headcanon about it, i'd think the mountain gives her an intuition on the correct decisions to make in order to avoid death, which is not to imply she never dies, but that the intuition comes from the countless deaths she faced before the winning run. she just never gets an explicit vision of her deaths until maybe chapter 9, and most of the time she just experiences it _as_ intuition. like she slipped into spikes 50 times and finally on one run she goes "woah, better be extra careful here" and moves on without issue. maybe its reaching, but it allows madeline to feel the mountain's pressure without having an exisential crisis over dying and coming back lmao

farewell golden was already incredibly difficult with a good pc with modded and everything, i cant imagine doing it on a switch, thats crazy impressive

I've wondered about the people playing some of these crazy hard games on Switch. You all have to try even harder.

@@BurstVessels Speedrunning on Switch is tough, as you don't have Splitsave and other features, but I can take a Switch to uni, so its the easiest option for me. :)

​@@calebp6114 I was doing it on switch but my grip-case broke and it's just not comfortable w/o it on a platformer so I switched to Xbox. Also wanted proof that I had done it; I realize that it shows it on your switch file but Im gonna show-off once I get some of the harder cheevos. Might start one on Steam too, honestly this game is good. Can't believe it took me till now to play it, I was(and am) addicted to Hollow Knight and found that during COVID. I had seen clips of it but it's not well advertised anymore(maybe since everyone who likes platformers played it), I got it because it finally went on sale on Nintendo. I used to love Super Meat Boy back in the day and I've beaten every level including dark world for everything except cotton alley(roughly equivalent to farewell), beaten main game on M/K, and gotten quite a few of the deathless achievements so Celeste has scratched an itch no other games have in a long time, and the dash and other mechanics take it above SMB, IMO. Not to mention the absolutely stunning art/beautiful story. This game is a true 10/10. For any HK fans: I'm still working on the pantheons but I've done the speed running ones, fool, all dream bosses etc but steel soul is daunting and I can do P1/P2 ezpz but I am terrible at the beast rider fight so most runs end there and I can't practice against sly because I haven't beaten it yet, even though I've done almost every single boss that I've unlocked on radiant. I digress, love this game and the community, I think I'm going to go grind NKG some more, aside from the pantheon exclusive bosses he's the only boss I haven't beaten(gotten him to 25% with magic based build). If you got this far, Much Love 🩵 Keep Climbing 🏔️ and You're Gonna Carry That Weight 👉🏼

I got to 201 and think I'll leave the game to rest. Goldens have been fun, but farewell feels scary with how much time commitment you need to put in it.

A platinum berry ;). The monicas D sides mod, has everlasting farewell, which is a nice and chill 300 room level which makes nornal farewell feel like 1A. This one has golden berries for each section and a platinum berry for the full level. None has done it yet.
