Hey JT - Kevallino from EC here; found this randomly and really enjoyed it. I had the good fortune to have lunch with Claudio and chat with him on multiple occasions in the mid-2000s when he would bring the red Cizeta out here in SoCal. Somewhere there is a picture of me behind the wheel of that car.... Great stuff, like you said it's important to get the history from the people who actually made it. Cheers, Kev

Claudio Zampolli reminds me so much of my late GrandFather Salvatore. Claudio is a legend in the Italian Supercar industry. I know he lives in Los Angeles, and so do I. I hope one day I get to meet him. My goal is to one day own a CIZETA V16T.

Love the story!! Hey John, I live in Phoenix area and got to see the Cizeta V16 this week for the Sotheby’s auction. Oh man so cool to see car history in front of me. Took a lot of pics and had them open the engine bay for some pics. What a car! If I had the money I would buy it on the spot!! A once in a lifetime event!

I remember when the Cizeta was new. It was on the cover of Sports cars international I believe. It was love at first sight. I read everything I could find on it. I'm shocked and excited to see that Mr Claudio is still alive. I wish Cizeta had survived for a lot longer than it did. He is one of my heroes. Him and Gorgetto Giugiaro and Marcello Ghandini. A fun car but no surprise it was a failure. It looks like a slightly uglier Diablo, and the design philosophy behind the engine was 'why not?'.

I was able to see the Cizeta at the RM Auctions preview today in Scottsdale. It's amazing. Thanks for helping us learn about this unique car and it's history.

Just watched this and have goose bumps just thinking about all this man has seen and done in his life. He was there at Ferrari during a wonderful time and then left to be at the beginning of Lamborghini.

I could sit at listen all day.

it's a stupid car from concept to everything else. It's only talked about because of its rarity. A contemporary city car has more engineering applied to it than this. The world of classics has become a meme....
