Damn,.. you don't hear many musician's these days ever thinking this deep anymore. Most people who call themselves "musicians" are copying other people music and autotuning it to death.. So glad this band came to be.

I like how Jer and Wes don't just write about themselves, it's other experiences of other people. This is what music is. You don't find a lot of it nowadays. Most songs aren't about much and don't tell a story, Lumineers always tell a great meaningful story in about 3 minutes. I love you guys and thank you.

My ex love and situationship played the Sleep on the floor and Cleopatra music videos for me on the very first night we met, on a road trip back home from a place we met outside the city. She was explaining to me the meaning beyond the music videos. Never knew how she got them. Now I know. These 2 songs will always stick with me for the rest of my life. We were never truly a concrete thing, but no one has ever rocked my world that way.

Dear sir, I want to personally thank you for creating these songs. I listened to them before my mother died and even now after she died due to colon cancer. It is always said that music reaches a place in our hearts that normal words cannot. Listening to these songs and reflecting on their meaning helps me to express my emotions. I'm honestly shocked that he mentioned my country (republic of Georgia🇬🇪) I have been listening to Lumineers for 7 months now and I cant even express how they had me to manage my own problems and obstecles, ups and downs. First time I've listened to their music was When I came along with Sleep On The Floor, and it had very big impact on me, because of how they expressed everything that has been going through my mind that time, adventures etc. When he mentioned Georgia I had goosebumps all over my body, I will take that as a sign

Is it weird that I enjoy listening to this story so much? I listen to it a couple of times per day... I didn't think this album could get any better, but it just did.

it's almost 3 a.m. and I have fallen in love with this. Something drew me to the song on my recommended to i listened to it and the lyrics and the video really hit me. and then this video popped up and i was completely invested in what he was saying. It was so devastating to hear this woman's story but it also reminds me, as a young person, not to dwell on plans or the way things are "supposed to go". I also think he's 100% right about stories. My entire life, I've been inspired and moved by other people's stories, and the sooner we realize that stories are a universal language, the sooner we can all stop having so many communication problems. I love this.

This is why i love this song. I was so enthusiastic about creating my own life, my own family, achieving all my dreams, and it seems like I'm late for everything. But, at the same time, the song motivates me to change how i see things and to appreciate this life as it is. Thanks for an awesome song

I love it that the music gets more vibrant as the song goes by and really reaches a peak during her time on the nursing house. I love how much it values just having a tranquil old age and being able to remember how grand you were able to feel while young.

I'm here after watching their new making of videos and I just want to say I am SO proud to be a fan of them... I knew them (deeply, disregarding the time I knew Ho Hey) through the Cleopatra album and now they released III and it's the most awesome thing I have ever heard. I hope they keep up telling stories like this on the next albums, just like Cleopatra deserved and the Sparks deserve - even though they are not actually real because their story is very common out there.

The Lumineers are something else, they are something real.

So rare it is that these days songs have depth, have meaning, have a purpose. This has the meaning and story of someone's life, the purpose to tell her story to the world. This is my favourite song and has been from the moment I heard it, even without the commentary. I knew from the lyrics that this held a story, and now we know the story behind the music I think it's that much more inspirational to other artists that songs don't have to just be about going to the club and getting 'bitches'. This whole album was something so incredible, and I can't wait to hear more from a group with so much potential.

El nombre Cleopatra es importante, creo que es por eso que se convirtió en el tema principal del álbum, es una clase de (canción) que encarna esta idea más de lo que es. . . este no es el nombre de una persona, esta es la idea de que cuando éramos jóvenes nos sentimos, muchos de nosotros creo, que estábamos destinados a algo más grande que nuestro pequeño pueblo o destinados a la grandeza o algo así. Para esta persona que terminó sintiéndose como “que está tarde para esto, tarde para aquello, tarde para el amor, tarde para la vida”, ya sabes, y luego va a morir sola, pienso que ella comienza del mismo modo que todos comenzamos, que es sintiéndonos de esa forma en la que aquello no va según al plan. Cuando hablé con ella me dijo: “sabes que los dos mejores días de mi vida fueron cuando conseguí mi divorcio y cuando tuve mi único hijo y es lo opuesto a lo que casi cualquiera me dijo sobre la vida, y se sintió alentador confrontar lo que realmente es tu vida” fue muy raro de oír y ver y creo que esto es una gran parte de la canción. Para mí el gran objetivo fue honrar esto. Los últimos versos toman la idea de que ella está caminando ... en mi cabeza ella está caminando en un asilo de ancianos, diciéndole a una enfermera lo maravillosa que fue como persona, como mujer, que tuvo todos estos sueños, que era más alta que las vigas, que era fuerza, que es Cleopatra y me imagino una enfermera que dice algo como "Estoy segura de que lo eras", sabes "Estoy segura de que lo eras" porque la generación más joven siempre son muy al tipo de “nos miramos a nosotros mismos y creemos que todos los demás están más o menos locos”. Creo que la mejor manera de aprender unos de otros y de hecho estar abiertos al cambio es a través de contar historias, no es el argumento, no son las estadísticas, contar historias es sobre ... se trata de personajes y eso es el personaje de Cleopatra, a lo que voy, estás tratando de contar su historia a través de estos versos."

I like how the story matches certain points of the song. At the end when he speaks of her in the nursing home, its at the same point in the song where he says " its a bed and a bathroom, and a place for the end". This was very well put together.

This is perhaps one of the most golden moments of music ever.

I like the way you think, Wes, and the way you approach your music seems so rare these days. You guys are without a doubt my favorite band. I only wish I had scooped up a ticket to one of your shows when you were closer to home. But I kept waiting and looking for a smaller venue. I would pay any amount to see The Lumineers in a venue small enough to have some tight acoustics. I'm kinda done with most stadium shows because of the difference in audio quality. Now, as your tour seems to be winding down, I'm truly regretting that.
