Gyomei is one of my favorite character his backstory was sad and he protected everyone till the end. When I finished reading the manga and when he passed away I went up in tears When the hashira meeting happened I knew he had to be the strongest he was a goat, mvp, he was carrying in the fight of muzan he was glorious and he died peacefully

Fun fact : This generation of hashiras was the strongest generation of hashiras since the 1st generation.... Stated by master ubuyashiki..... And Gyomei Himejima was the strongest hashira of this generation and by far a large margin...... Gyomei was the strongest hashira after yorichi......

@@debashisswain1253 Man, don't disrepect Rengoku like that. if it wasn't for him Tanjiro, Inosuke and Zenitsu would have surely died...any of the hashira would have died on their own against Akaza (not Gyomei dou) tbh. And Rengoku didn't even have the mark and still put a heck of a fight against someone who would have killed Tanjiro and a marked Giyuu if his wife hadn't intervened and made him give up...

If sanemi had the saddest back story in kny, obanai the most disturbing, gyomei was the most unfair. His situation also reminds of of kaya's mom in aot (she couldn't walk so the villagers left them and they were defenseless to titans).

Fun fact: the child that let the demon in the temple was kaigaku He became a demon slayer after former thunder hashira took him in then and kaigaku came face to face with kokushibo so he begged to become a demon and he became upper moon 6 after gyutaro and Daki

Gyomei is my 3rd favorite hashira after Rengoku and Uzui, definitely the strongest of his generation but not the God of Hashira... that title belongs to Yoriichi even if Yoriichi isn't an official hashira. Yoriichi made Hashira profession and invented the "breathing styles", he's definitely the God of Hashira -- none of them put FEAR into Muzan like Yoriichi did.

I feel like that young Sayo girl could have been introduced into the story, it'd be interesting, the trauma of her entire temple and siblings figures along with the betrayal of kaigaku and her mistooken words causing gyomei, her protector ending up in custody could cause her to join the demon slayer corps.
