This long edit of Jay3’s story is dedicated to his Mother, Tanji Pavloff (September 24, 1960 - October 9th, 2012), the community that uplifted him, and all those affected by ALS. We were touched by the story of Christopher Pavloff, known to our community as Jay3. We’ve all seen him on Twitch streaming Overwatch to thousands of people every day, but this is a glimpse into his life outside of gaming. We’d like to give a huge thank you to his dad and brother for their vulnerability in bringing this story and tribute to Tanji to life.

Never knew fast and unexpected his Mother went. When his Dad Said "Cancer is something you can beat". It broke my heart and I cried a little. Jay3's one of the only Overwatch personalities I watch anymore, more him, than the game. May his Mom rest in peace. Looking down from heaven to smile upon a family she left, knowing that it's in good hands. Much love to the Pavlov's ❤

When my mom passed away Jay was one of the people who kept me going. He and Logix offered to talk about it when my friends thought I needed my space even though all I wanted was not to be alone. He has a heart of gold and I hope all his dreams do come true 💛

I’ve been following Jay3 since the days of J3sus. But in all that time, I never knew his mother passed away. His dedication and things he goes through are truly inspiring. Even more so after watching this video. He deserves every bit of love and support he gets.

I just wanna thank you Jay3, among other streamers of Overwatch, that keep the game alive. If it weren't for you, less players would have been playing the game right now and even I myself would have already stopped playing. But you guys always make the game still enjoyable, whether it is for playing or for watching. Also, Jay3, I'm sure your mother is proud of you. You may not help people through being a nurse, but you helped people by giving them a smile even for a short while through your streams. You are amazing.

I don't know how I've just seen this for the first time, but I have been watching Jay3 videos for a long time now, and he is one of the funniest and most original creators. His ability to bring people together for different types of Overwatch matches and his inclusion of his community in it all is so wonderful to witness. We all should aspire to be like Chris.
