Poor Jenny was done wrong when they replaced Michael Evans' Lionel character with that other dorky Lionel. EDIT: I'm confused. The original Lionel was on All in the Family, so how is he still on here in later seasons?
Mike Evans originated the role of Lionel on "All in the Family." Besides being an actor, he was also a writer who came up with the idea for the show "Good Times." As a result, Mike wanted to concentrate on writing for that show for a while. Eventually, he went back to "The Jeffersons," and they let the other actor go. He felt he was not needed for "Good Times" because of Norman Lear would take other people's ideas as his own. This was well documented by people who worked for him.
He started on here in the early seasons, but had a fight with Norman Lear and the producers saying that he was the most important character. When they didn’t give him what he wanted,he left to work on “Good Times”. After being replaced by Damon Evans (No relation),he came in 1979, and appeared on and off until the show’s abrupt end in 1985.
No marriage is perfect. You'll have ups & downs. You have to work through it and come out the other side. If both parties want to. Sometimes its better to go your separate ways.If you have children, they come first regardless. I wish they'd stay together. Mike & Gloria Stivic got divorced too.
