Love this!!!! The version I learned- Olokun and Ogun were beefing and Ogun chained him to the bottom of the ocean. But that enraged Olokun even more. He broke the chains and flooded parts of the Earth planning to flood it all. The destruction was so fierce, Obatala asked Yemaya to step in and stop him. She was able to calm Olokun down and he agreed to keep a distance at the bottom of the ocean to keep the peace.

The parts that stood out to me in this video was when you talked about Olokun or Obatala being chained to the bottom of the ocean and for some reason it made me think of the Atlantic Slave Trade and how some of our ancestors jumped in the ocean on purpose because they knew in the words of Michael B. Jordan “death was better than bondage.” Another part that stood out to me was when you talked about things being taken away from the water for the advancement of technology because if you think about it the Internet is a big web full of people who have social media accounts and in comparison to the ocean it’s big and consist of many types of fish and creatures that have yet to be discovered.

Metaphorically, since Olokun represents the deepest aspect of the ocean would you say Olokun is symbolic of the subconscious mind that when disrespected feels the need to react emotionally and Yemaya is more of the “surface” emotions?

I had a reoccurring dream, which I noted as a message, where I was watxhing myself being chained at the bottom of the ocean. I was a solid statue chained to the bottom of the ocean and it was pitch black. The only light was coming peaking through shimmering over me. As the light shimmered over me, I could see other statued frozen beings that stretched for miles, bored down surrounding me, while I was chained. I was protected but chained under the ocean. I've been trying to figure out the message of the dream. I trying to set myself free but I know I'm protected and surrounded with love.

I just found out my Divine Guardian " Orisha " is OLOKUN ❤and it makes sense I'm a freedom fighter and I live on the Ocean 🌊 pray to yemaya and surf like I'm active in the water and I feel very deeply . I thought I was yemaya but no when asked it was OLOKUN that received me as his child❤ Today is a beautiful day in my elevation of my soul with god and spirit as today I found a major corner piece puzzle 🧩 towards the understanding of my destiny this life.

The true origin of Olokun is from Urhonigbe a village located in the Benin kingdom (The Edo people). The name OLE in Edo language means OWNER while OKUN means SEA/OCEAN but it's rightly pronounced OLOKUN without the E alphabet. The festival is being celebrated annually by the Edo people headed by the priestess (OHEN OLOKUN) as its been called in Edo language.

There was a lesson for Olokun during this journey. It took both him and Yemiyah to complete this cycle. The divine Universe will not allow an innocent energy to take on someone else's punishment. This had been what kept Obatula, Yemiyah and Olokun chained to 3 dimension Earth prison frequency. Taking advantage of the waters not only means harvesting without limits, but it also means a using the beings that manifest as the pieces of the etheric waters by trapping them in the music industry as a living energy source for a separate reality. Obatula's sacrifice was only a bandaid, and it had a time limit that was overstepped. What happens in the spiritual world also happens in the physical. The standards of the Judicial system of the 3D reality to which they were bound reflected the injustice in Obatula's sacrificing of himself for the deeds of humanity.

Wow, this explains so much especially how music connects to Olokun. Sound is what keeps the bottom of the ocean so vibrant and alive considering how dark it is. The deeper the ocean the stranger the sounds the animals make.
@nanafofana196
@nanafofana196 2 года назад
@@coolgirlzparty Their sound has to echo through waves. Air waves and water waves carry sound. So, imagine being a human singer trapped under water, which is what the vocoder or digital voice app was invented. There are a lot of artists who sing through the app of a famous person's vocal layout. So, even underwater life is being programmed to grab the mic and rock it. Most everyone uses their vocals to laugh. To talk. To communicate. Every one is not a singer. Amala on Earth AND in the ocean. But, if you ARE a singer or a dancer, that's your first language. Not the one of your nation. Not the ones you learn to take tests or get a job. But, the one you came with.

Good shot at it. Its patakis... (puh-TAH-keese) Spanish for stories. Yes, it is good to give offerings to both. Yes Olokun is androgynous. However, Olokun is a HEAVY Orisa. Rarely is Olokun is given. And just because you have Yemoja does not make it likely that you'll have Olokun..... Im proof of that one. But I LOOOOVE the effort that you give here. We all have to start somewhere. Would it be out of place if Olokun and Yemaya appeared in a white person’s dream? My brother was describing two godlike entities that appeared in his dream last night. Dark,dark skin, even darker hair, wearing blues and whites, silver and gold. The whole dream was set in water that was shallow enough to stand in and also deep enough to dive into. He said that many other people were trying to get to the couple at the beginning of the dream, but ended up dying before they could get to them, yet he said it felt like an easy journey for him to make, like they let him. He said they were incredibly tall, but he only see them from the waist up. The one he thought to be a man was the only one to talk to him. But that the woman never left the man’s side. My brother asked them who they were, and they laughed and told my brother to tell his own story instead. So my brother told them, he found it curious that the man seemed to already know everything about my brother. This is the first time anything like this has happened to my brother. He wasn’t calling out to any deities, or ancestors. This dream shook him. But I know that since this not my culture, I shouldn’t assume too much. We’re white as Vikings, so we’re not familiar with these gods. I’m very spiritual, him not so much, but now I think he’s changing. I don’t want to overstep. But this is the closest match I’ve found when looking , if you or anyone else thinks it can’t possibly be Olokun or Yemaya, please reply. I’m going to keep looking, because it just feels odd that a Yoruba god would appear to a white kid from Tennessee, but I thought I’d ask in a space where y’all know what you’re talking about.

This Orisha is very similar to Poseidon and his wife. Even there primary symbols are similar (ie a trident) and both wanted flood the world to punish mankind at one point. Very odd similarities overall.... I can't help but wonder if the ancient peoples of the Mediterranean and ancestors of the Yoruba were in contact with each other at some point because the similarities in their religions is uncanny.
