Dang, I'm so glad he was able to bounce back in his personal life. He literally went through hell and back. Wish him nothing but the best. Thanks for doing this piece.
I knew him as a child in junior high - I was best friends with his relative. I’m glad to see him persevere and overcome all his trials and tribulations.
I remember reading about his troubles! I glad to know he’s in a better place now and wish him continue success and support! He favors Billy Dee Williams 👀🥰
Dude was always a rock solid actor. Life hands us all different curve balls it's how we adjust that makes us righteous. I hope he finds continued happiness and success.
Stacy. Yeah I love that part in the wood with him he's hilarious definitely someone that's rememberable and it's sad that he went through that in his life some people go through a lot of hard things for a lot of reasons who knows why me myself can attest to that hope he says prayer for and stay strong
I grew up with D.B. I left L.A in 94 and moved to Tx. I had no idea my guy had these hardships, he really is a good dude, I was happy to see him on snowfall! Glad he turned it around!💯💯
If you didn’t tell this story I wouldn’t have ever known he did time for a murder. I thought bru been in it the whole time just took a break damn thanks for the info G. Wouldn’t never had known
I had no idea. He's a true soldier and survivor. It's a dam shame that we a a people that have struggled through so much over so many years centuries even, continue to hand down broken foundation's to pur children putting through this type of insanity. It's better not have children at all until you get your shit together.
That was awesome!!!. I hope and pray that he understands. That the lord was with him through it all. If he haven’t given his life to Christ? He should do it now!!!. God bless him!
Good job brotha! This dude went to my junior high school in South Central back in the mid 80s! He was my bully back then! I use to walk different routes to allud him coming from school. (Ps. Celebrity child)
This Brother has definitely been through it. He has been lined up in many hood pieces and it brings me to the saying "is art imitating life or life imitating art ". The piece I enjoyed him in was," Get On The Bus ",a very powerful picture in and of itself, but he and his father played a further impactful role in bringing attention to this powerful statement.
He did a good job in Get On The Bus. I went to the million man march and it was a beautiful site to see over 1 million brothers showing each other love. Man, if I could do it all over again. The million man March showed me and others what America would be like if black folks came together.
Wow I will definitely pray 🙏🏽 🙏🏽🙏🏽that he stay strong and continued success for him. We should pray not only for those that we know personally but also for others that we see in need.
His range is nice, from the facial expressions in Tales in the Hood all the way to Crazy ass Skully he embodies the character and makes the characters real.
I remember Him from the Movie , Lock Down. He was good in it , tho I hated seeing Him being bullied & abused. It is really true , that what doesn't break 💔 U , makes U stronger. I wish Deandre the Best & may His Star continue to Rise. 😎🖤
Always wondered why you didn't see him for a spell because he always was a decent actor very underrated in lockdown not something most wanna watch but his acting was on point for that one so wish him the best
I grew up with this man we moved from South Bronx New York and his mom's helped us out he lived on 63rd and 10th Avenue and Crenshaw his mother name was Dottie and he did have a rough childhood he was picked on but he always stood his ground I'm glad to see that he's doing a lot better we go way back
I ran into him at a gas station 10 years ago and u could tell he was kinda smacked out but he was very humble. He even tried to introduce me to Tyrin Turner that was waiting for him in the car but I got too excited and tried to open his door lmao he just waved through the window
Yeah I wish he had never done lockdown now i wish i never seen it! I thought it would be hard for him to bounce back after that role and it ended his career but I didn't know he had gotten locked up for real thanks for the video !
Very interesting. Of course I knew who this man was but I had no idea he went through so much. I'm glad he seems to have overcome his past and is hopefully thriving! Thank you for the video.
As the huge fan of Snowfall that I am, I feel Deaundre Bonds should have been nominated for an Emmy or Golden Globe for his role as Scully. Such a nuanced, scary, and powerful character. Then again, his role on Snowfall probably scared them awards show voters. People like Scully scare the f**** out of white folks.
I REALLY ENJOY THE ROLES THAT HE PLAYED IN..ONE I DIDN'T CARE FOR WAS WHEN HE PLAYED IN"LOCKDOWN" THEY REALLY DEGRADED HIM IN THAT RAPE SCENE..I SEEN A VIDEO WHERE HE SAID THAT MOVIE REALLY WAS UPSETTING AND HOW IT CHANGED HIM!! I WISH HIM ALL THE LUCK AND A SPEEDY COMEBACK!!!🙋🙋 "ONE LOVE"!!!☝☝❤❤
Keep pushing through it Deaundre. Pray and meditate. Consult a therapist - I hear it takes time to find one that you'll gel with, but it is not impossible.
