Our generation is amazing!

Been along for the whole ride. I remember initially wanting (and getting) a Sega Saturn for my 12th bday. Once I saw how much momentum the PS1 actually had behind it, the games that it was producing, I decided to return my Saturn in exch for a PS1. I never looked back. The PS1 was IT. Hours upon hours spent playing FF7, GT1-2 with my boys, NFS, Tekken3. So many awesome memories. I later joined the Navy, and the PSP became a MUST HAVE piece of kit. That thing got me through deployments. PS3 might be my overall favorite system of all time. I lost a bit of interest with the PS4, and definitely thought that the Xbox Series X would prove to be superior to the PS5. In some ways it is. But neither have really gotten the games that we thought they might by this point.

25:52 .......except smart phones came out before 2014.......the iPhone came out about 2 years after the PSP....So who is this guy, and wtf is he talking about? You got the wrong guy to give a statement on a documentary.

i thought this documentary sucked.

Laughably bad. Was the sound editor deaf? Even the subtitles give up saying “voice drowned out by music”. The volumes are all over the place, sometimes reverbed, sometimes sounding like underwater, often changing properties in mid sentence. How did this get released in this state? Apart from that, nothing new just a bunch of “who?” Talking heads (you can barely hear)

PSVR will never be anything but a gimmick/novelty. Not until Sony bundle's it with their system with little to no price increase. They're gonna have to eat the price of the unit, and make up the money on the backend on game sales. Once they do this, a TON of developers will start making VR games

I love PlayStation but the PSVR isn't worth owning as far as I am concerned. It won't ever be anything more than a way overpriced gimmick.

It was a bit jarring seeing footage for the launch of the PS4, then going straight to COVID. Was there really nothing noteworthy between those 7 years?

Japan is far more than console gaming, referencing the war wasn't required, poor taste. Also weird was people speaking about origins, PS1, as if they experienced it firsthand, when they likely weren't born, old enough to comprehend gaming in early 90s.
