Radhatthera Vatthu
Dhammapada Verse 76
In this video, Radha struggles to find someone to ordain him.
Wat San Fran is proud to present stories taken from the Jatakas, Dhammapada, and Buddhist history. These stories often use past rebirth stories (Jatakas) to reveal the connection between past and present, and illustrate the relationship between cause and effect.
Check out the playlist #AnimatedBuddhistStories by Wat San Fran to explore the complete series.

Sadhu anumodana 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 for another insightful and touching Jataka animation. I learnt that we should learn to be grateful not resentful if criticism comes from wise teachers. I also learnt that if someone does us a favour, it is good to repay that favour when we can.

Even small acts of kindness can leave a lasting impact. Sariputta remembered Radha’s simple gesture, showing that no good deed is too small. It reminds us to be grateful and mindful. From Radha's perspective, it’s a reminder to keep doing good, regardless of recognition. What matters is the act itself. 🙏🙏🙏

It is hard to find two types of people in this world: First, those who grant favors, and second, those who return favors. Grant a favor with goodness in heart and return one with respect. When someone criticizes you, instead of becoming sad or angry at them, consider their intentions, consider being grateful that they care enough about you to try to show you the right path. After all, we take so much for granted in life. Foster an outlook on life filled with gratitude.

Just as a treasure reveals hidden gems, a wise person can help us see our flaws and grow from them. 🙏🙏🙏🌸
