The cost of one submarine could probably restore all those buildings. I grew up in Highlands. Lived there my first 22 years, left about 48 years ago. We used to sneak on to the base and the NORAD command center on the hill in Highlands often. It was pretty easy. Thanx for vid. Growing up in the 60's we would go to Sea Bright beach. Later in the 70's Sandy Hook was kind of run down. We started going to Manasquan because the northern beaches were dirty. Lotsa red tide. Anyway in the 80's I started sailing & hanging with people who would go out to Horseshoe Cove on the Hook. The first time I saw Officers Row I thought they were condos! Didn't know any of the history. Someone told me the were designed by Stanford White.
