My favorite artifact by far. I've been interested in it ever since vanilla and fell in love with it in the Curse of the Worgen comics. I was absolutely ecstatic when it was announced to be my spec's weapon.

you missed a part of the lore for the Scythe of elune. up in grizzly hills northrend there is a quest chain with some trappers where you must handle what is implied to be the scythe. the trappers turn out to be worgans. I don't know the name of the starting quest off hand.

I cannot hear Ariden's voice without imagining that it would be much more fitting for a smaller character thanks to Zim and Billy. I feel kind of sorry for his voice actor, though he does a perfect Fel Imp.

Can you do the BM Hunter's artifact weapon next? It's actually gun, so it's obviously not some ancient, mythical weapon like so many of the others. I'm kinda curious to know where it came from.

They should've like an additional quest upon the adventurer acquiring the scythe, like fully controlling the scythe or whatever, but it would be like the frost dk artifact quest. The idea is to control the scythe by going inside it or something. But idk, its too late now haha

Pfft..bullshit. Ok guys here's the REAL lore of Scythe of elune,which is btw pronounced more like ''Skaith'' not ''saith''. Because as we all know,Skaith is the evil way of saying it. In reality there was a certain undead known as Associate professor Evil,he was looking for power unlike any other so the traveled to Deadwind pass in search of this legendary weapon known as The Scythe of Elune. Once he arrived he was greeted to a valley filled with foreign gold farmers that were stealing all of his ogre kills. Enraged,Associate Professor Evil knocks the shit out of one of the night elf gold farmers,and he drops the Scythe of Elune. Associate Professor Evil then picked up the Scythe and yelled ''Now,Barnaby KILL! Kill all the gold farmers in Deadwind Pass! I empower you with the magic,of the scythe of elune!'' and used it's power to infuse his pet crab named Barnaby with it's legendary strength. Barnaby,infused with this power grew into a giant crab and Associate Professor Evil then commanded the beast ''Now Barnaby,my beloved pet,let us rid the world of gold farmers!''. Barnaby then proceeded into destroying every gold farmer in deadwind pass,as his master cheered him on.

Aah, my favourite artifact of them all. Honestly, I don't think I'll ever feel completely okay with them being introducex and then taken away. Also, it's rather lucky they gave Aredan one of the most hateable voices ever, considering how many times you gotta kill him.

The first wepon I got was with my unholy DK, the second balance druid. Same quest, really nice setup for DK, but for druid? I really was disapointed.

they dropped the ball witht his weapon they could of done so much with the boomkin form to make it look better like the feral and guardian but nope....the hidden staff even looks tiny and rubbish :(

now if only the scythe can be used to keep your human form in combat like king graymane does >_>
