Hey Everyone, at 0:26 we messed up and accidentally showed some footage of a Scout instead of an AWP. Thanks @Vickey for keeping us accountable and as always thanks for watching!
@@nathanb4424 That definition of skill floor is a complete misconception that's been floating around for a few years now. It doesn't even make sense. If you think of a bar graph, and the skill floor as a flat line across the graph, that means your skill level must break the skill floor threshold to be effective with it.
@@pannnella As an Awper I mostly pick it up to hold mid or sth, but if we have more than 1 Awp, I'm using a normal rifle, it's important to use "secondary" weapons like ak or m4 when you want to be a good awp player
Yeah, I'm the second lol. I use the awp most of the time. Suck at close range. When too many people use the awp, I use the MP7 or MP9. I don't fuck the rest of the weapons.
@@moneyhoarder123 except if u miss u r dead... High risk.. High price.. High reward.... Its not a coincidence that d best players of the world r mostly awpers..
@@allbrosdjay not this shit to me mate you very well know we wanted to say 'peek' you say i'm peeking mid not 'i will go get a pick on mid' so piss off
Fun fact: the AWP shoots the same bullets as the Negev Valve make Negev insta kill plz Edit: Turns out the specific Negev in CSGO doesn't, the SSG 08 does though *Valve make SSG insta kill plz*
CS had never been a realistic weapon stats. In real life a suppressed gun is more powerful than a non suppressed, ok, it is just a little bit more powerful but it is, since the barrel is longer, making the bullet faster. Talking about speed, as a 7.62 is heavier than a 5.56, its reduces speed, so a 5.56 have more penetration. And do we need talking about how the fuck a 57 get a 1 hs kill in close range and a M4 not?
@@ivanbertoni7622 quit tripping, if suppressed guns were better, every army would equip them on the majority of their men, and they don't, for good reason. A suppressor doesn't extend the length of the barrel, because it's not another simple tube for the round to go through, it's a series of holes/pores and whatnot for gasses to be trapped, in order to reduce sound in the other end, I would think most suppressors don't have rifling, either. A longer barrel doesn't make a bullet faster, more propellant makes a bullet faster, a long barrel spins the round longer = helps it stay more accurate at range. 7.62 will penetrate more then a 5.56 round in real life, mostly because it is larger, and because a 5.56 isn't a faster round just because it's smaller. Depending on round and gun, any weapon can have a higher muzzle velocity. it will also do more damage post-penetration, only because of it's sheer size. Yeah five-seven is quite funny, but it's worse then M4 in more ways then it's better.
a quickscope is when you press the right button nearly at the same time like the left button but what he did were afterscopes. oh and he did not miss any shot 4 shots 4 kills just look at the body on top of that wall it´s laying on the ground at the end of the round.
Pranav Mapari exactly, he is the most consistent awper of csgo. KennyS was the best awper in his prime though. But you are right he didn't get the attention he deserved
@@TheHadrian54 He did in some way in navi since navi tactic back then was to run down the time till the last second usually utilizing guardian as the awper to find peeks and openings, he's not mention enough cuz he's not having such flashy playstyle.
Wanna know something? In the Philippines the land of Cringe and Toxic People, kids there including me still plays CS 1.6 and we enjoy it and we even still play GTA SA lots of kids there plays CS 1.6 but problem is they are very noob when I party with them in CS:GO they are literal shit but yeah we still play CS 1.6 here.
In my opinion you shouldn't have included smooyas clips, because the things he said are bullshit and if the awp in his opinion is so easy to play why did he miss so many shots
The awp is very easy to use but extremely difficult to master just like it's said in the video. I shouldn't have to explain this but obviously smooya is playing against the very best players in the world who are doing everything possible to counter him, so no shit it isn't easy to awp against the best players in the world but it is pretty easy to hold an angle and have someone run into it so you can click and they're dead.
the awp is literally the easiest weapon in the game to play. I personally think I'm garbage with it to the point where I'd rather use a glock but when I pick up an awp and use it I still somehow get 3-4k's consistently I guess that tells you a whole lot about the awp.
I disagree with smooya 99.9% of the time. I really hope his views don't even affect CS:GO's updates because his views are entirely self-centered and if he had any control he would make the game revolve around his own playstyle.
I love the awp. The operator just doesnt have the same feel, the same macho as the awp. I mean, i guess its hard to outdo the most iconic gun in gaming
This video shows quite a bit of recency bias. The legacy and utilization of the AWP was written far before Markeloff was well known. Markeloff was certainly incredible, but I doubt he'd have been what he was had it not been for many other players that came before such as; Cogu, fr0d, ksharp, walle, vesslan, johnnyR, ShaGuar, Hyb, Swift, and many others. Other than that though, great video!
Yeah. Sadly, that's normal. People aren;t usually interested in the past so much as the recent events. Markeloff is surely the face of 1.6 AWPing, that's why they mentioned him, but they probably knew putting in extra work and a few more minutes to showcase more old school players would be a waste because most current players don't even know who they are and wouldn't enjoy such content, at the same time making it less profitable for the channel. Sad, but that's how it works.
When KennyS said to try something a bit different, he showed us in the major during OT on D2, on CT side with 10 seconds left, he peeks into the opponent who barely has time to plant, dies, thus forcing his teammate to play an unfavorable 1v1. Its so different that it doesn't work most of the time.
man i miss the old times where i was actually good at cs and played scout for fun most on the time in pugs and just headshot everyone, while getting banned sometimes cuz they thought i was cheating.
People forgot that 1.6 AWP was actually a nerfed & slower version too. The quick switching and draw and fire were quicker in cs beta to v1.5. In 1.6, they slowed it down significantly and probably affected & nerfed the top AWPer from pre-competitive 1.6 era. So does in CSGO, the top awper at the time like Kenny, Nico, Smithzz, Pasha, JW and Maikelele were affected so bad after the nerfed in mid 2015 patched. So in case, I'd say 1.6 and GO(post 2015) were kinda in familiar situation
Oi, im danish so i always like to see astralis win, but your probably right, we need the old days where all had a chance to win, right now astralis is dominating to hard
Kenny would be the best AWPer if he improved his daily routine to 100 AWP kills, 100 AK kills, 100 M4 kills and then a 10km bunny hop every single day.
He was Making a one punch man reference. (100 push up , 100 sit ups , 100 squats and 10km run whice made one punch man the stronget character in the world)
I remember 2 of my teammates bought AWPs and every single round they held a point a where the enemies moved through 98% of the time. And well the got a lot of kills.
I grew up using bolt action sniper rifles like the Intervention and never got to experience using the AWP during the quick scope craze that everyone, including me and my group of friends at the time, were into during the peak of Call of Duty's and Halo's popularity with Halo 3 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 dominating the competitive gaming scene at the time. After using the AWP for a couple of days, I'm very disappointed that me and my friends were never into Counter Strike and didn't play that game when we wanted to have bolt action, quick scope only matches in custom games. The AWP is perfect for those kind of games that me and my friends had back in the day and we would've all been on a fair, even, playing field that would've allowed us to really test and grow our skills of quick scoping by competing against each other for not only to get better at the game we were playing, but to also have fun. This would've especially been the case if we were using the AWP before the Nerf to it in the 2015 patch.
0:04 is just something about the sound. *old awp sound. Thanks for remembering me how good the old awp sound was unlike this shitty fart sound we have now.
@@leferraille7207 no they don't. It's like regular headphones versus beats - it sounds like pure bass and that sounds like trash tbh. the old awp was more like a thunder and the new one essentially is like a football being kicked lmao
I really want the old awp sound back. Don't see why they changed it because it is just as loud as the new one and is just a much nicer sound. Tbh same with most of the updated sounds in CS:GO
Man...good job editing this video Daniel Cole! Super impressed...btw anyone reading this or watching this video, if any of you know how to create a highlight video of CSGO frags, please lemme know ASAP.
