My mom was an O'Reilly... She is the the most amazing and smartest, wittiest persons I've ever met. Proud she's my mom. proud to be part of this great clan.She's still going strong at 95.

My great grandfather came to the united states back in the late 1800's. He changed our name from its original spelling to Riley from what we were told growing up. I would love to follow his roots back to the homeland and find my family there.

My mother's maiden name was Riley, it was her father's surname. My great granddad came over to England during the potato famine which is were I live. Although I think of myself as English, technically I'm half Irish. You and I may just be related.

Proud to be an O’Reilly my grandad came from Banaho, carrickaboy but believe most of my family that still live there now live in Ballyjamesduff and Virginia :)

I was told by my grandpa that O'Reilly meant son of Reilly or Riley. Also, that Riley is the first Descendent of King Raghaillach. So I researched it and found that to be true. That King also killed his own children because he was insane. He thought his kids were trying to overthrow him.
