Rugby culture is so different to here in England, it's almost like joining the army and serving queen and country when you become an All Black. I've always been amazed by the All Black mystique...
+Alejandro Sosa It's bigger than that. You are treated like a rock star. It's like you join this exclusive club where you are expected to die for the jersey, give it everything, it's cultural, religious even, it's a strange phenomenon that I don't see in other sports where they are just paid mercenaries. There are people in New Zealand who would give their left testicle to be a All Black and more.
Many, many have tried, but only the chosen few have the greatness to wear the Black jersey. I had a dream when I was a wee fulla but I wasn't one of the chosen few. Ta for the upload and what a great documentary.
Rugby is a way of life in new Zealand, if your not from Aotearoa you can't possibly comprehend what the all blacks mean to us as kiwi,s our domination of world rugby was unrivalled untill about 25-30 years ago with the rise of the Springboks, but still we continue our domination and tomorrow morning the Irish will be reminded that the new Zealand all blacks ARE the GREATEST rugby team OF ALL TIME
It is life, until death, I think. One cap or one hundred plus, it matters not. Once an All Black, forever part of the most exclusive rugby clan on earth.
I'm an England fan but here's a go at an all time All Black XV, it will be quite modern... 1 Ken Gray 2 Sean Fitzpatrick 3 Olo Brown 4 Colin Meads 5 Robin Brooke 6 Michael Jones 7 Richie McCaw 8 Zinzan Brooke 9 Justin Marshall 10 Dan Carter 11 Jonah Lomu 12 Frank Bunce 13 Conrad Smith 14 John Kirwan 15 Christian Cullen
+Shadow Man - 2015 All Blacks. I wasn't at the 2015 quarter finals between NZL and France but that game took my breath away and the pubs ran beer and every Kiwi smiled...
taystietrix Bet it was a good night, many Steinlagers downed? What comes around goes around in sport and I had a great time in France, you in NZ. All Blacks were clearly the best team at the 2015 World Cup and good luck to them :) At least BEER was involved with both of us though huh? :):)
It was a great night for New Zealand in particular the AB's, their fans and family!!! I'm sure a few celebrated with a beer or two or three ;) For sure what goes around comes around!!! Any team has the opportunity to win or lose in sport regardless of who they are!! France proved that to us and the world on a number of occasions however my opinion is the AB's had some ghosts to put to bed and they definitely put one to bed that day :D
taystietrix For sure buddy, the ones I feel sorry for were the All Blacks that went through two to three World Cups in their careers and never won a Cup, anyways glad to share some common ground with you. Sport can be a great thing, a leveller, a booster for a country and just a downright excuse to drink beer. The ABS were the best team in 2015 by a mile, good on them..truly I mean that :) France deserve a World Cup....2nd three times but deserve and win ain't the same thing. Take care Tay :)
'Ka Mate' is about Te Wharerangi of Hapu-iti who saves the life of his enemy Te Rauparaha of Ngati Toa only to be killed along with his warriors for doing it. The moral of this event is that the High Moral Ground is not negotiable. It is no accident that 'Ka Mate' and the AB's are our greatest export. God defend New Zealand 🙏🏾💪🏾🇳🇿
Haha DC chasing his sister, trying to smash through doors, gotta love that. If you've ever been the physically dominant sibling you'll know exactly what he's talking about.
1-Tony Woodcock 2- Andrew Hore 3- Carl Heyman 4- Robin Brook 5- Ian Jones 6-Josh Kronfeild 7- Richie Mcaw (c) 8- Kerian Read 9- Graham Baship 10- Dan Carter 11- Jona Lomu 12- Sonny Bill Williams 13- Tana Umaga 14- Jeff Willson 15- Christan Cullen Coach Sir Fred Allen
Bill-Williams and Umaga are ok but Smith and Bunce are the better players and more consistent. Jeff Wilson a good call, great player and Kronfeld, Jones and McCaw, Well, how do you really split them ? Buck Shelford unlucky as is Craig Dowd
Kapa Opango, All Blacks. The key is you got to have talent, passion, pace, power strength & one of their main key to their mystic & success is their inclusive of the Maori culture thats been in the team since time in memorial & let us not forget the HAKA which is ingrained into the Black jersy. Its like a religion to the country.
