A few of us local NC divers searched on and off for this wreck for years. I spoke with Harry Kane who was skeptical of each new batch of divers or wreck hunters that wanted to find the wreck and some who would seek him out. But it was great to hear a first-hand story of that day. I also spoke to Horst Degan before he passed away. Turns out the wreck had been found in the late 80s, but kept secret. It was confirmed much later when others found it. I've been to the U-352, maybe I'll get to go to this one before I retire from diving.
