I’m really glad that this finale came after so many others. It feels like a true and whole send off, not just to season two of Empires, but to any lingering worries from season 1. And ending it out with a scholar’s closing remarks after comparing and pooling unreliable and incomplete sources to form a shape of what the history could have been? Love it. I thought sausage's finale dried my tears out, but i still cried hearing the monologue 😭 it's so beautiful, hearing like a theory about what happened to the citizens of the old empires (A+ theory btw i love how you tied the cod and ocean empire to goblands, very clever!!) plus the timelapse is just 👌👌👌 beautiful cinematics as well!! I wholeheartedly agree. Empires is one of my favorite Minecraft series, if not my number one favorite series, and if I must, a comfort series. If it wasn't for this series, it wouldn't had properly introduced me to other content creators like fWhip, Sausage, Pix, and Gem even. Even though season 2 didn't have a bang of an ending like season 1 did, this season ended on a bittersweet note. I do hope there is a season 3, as to hopefully tie up some loose ends, like how this season satisfied my curiosity as to what happened to some of the empires from season 1. But I doubt there would ever be a season 3 cause storyline/plot wise, to me, this season kinda seemed a little boring.

Aaa I love this so much!!! That story connecting everything together, with the season 1 references in the castle and other parts of the world, it's all so so beautiful!! And I really love that you made it so clear that all interpretations are equally valid, that's one of my favourite parts of Minecraft storytelling, how everything can have so many different meanings and stuff!! And the David in the Capital was from Pixandria, the legacy of the Copper King even after he disappeared!!!!

I’m honestly really glad to see this video uploaded later. It really does help give it that “epilogue” feeling. The monologue was wonderful and I really love the approach you’ve taken with leaving it all relatively open ended - and even if parts do contradict other members’ lore, historians can have differing opinions or be wrong about something that happened, they’re just making theories based on whatever remains they find. So I don’t think it’s particularly a problem, it’s more reflective of what researching a time with so few records would actually be like.

Pix, I believe I found a flaw in the design of this episode, which I would like to point out: you put so much time and effort and gorgeous detail into the castle build, but how am I supposed to appreciate all of those if my vision is clouded by _me bawling my damn eyes out_ (this is only half a joke, at some point during the time-lapse I very much did have to pause because I could genuinely barely see anything)

I was not expecting to start crying as I watched this, but this was such a wonderful good bye to the series as a whole. this did such a wonderful job saying goodbye to a delightful series. I watched your episode more religiously than most. the first episode of season 2 and the last were both yours, and they served as such perfect bookends for me.

I love that the lore and history of this world has been continuous. It has felt for so long like these two seasons are set completely apart, with only Sausage's lore contradicting that, but this really binds the lore and history of the two seasons together. It feels like these two seasons were really set in the same world, and what we see is the story of one ever changing world, the world of Empires. This has to be the best finale, and the most permanent and satisfying of the lot. You really outdid yourself this time, Pix. Your character and approach to this series is by far my favorite of them all and if there is a third season, I hope you have the inspiration to be there and to bless it with your presence.

The narration at the start is exactly the same kind of complexly-worded monologue I’d talk to myself while writing the lore of a MC world. I love all the lore you’ve packed into the castle. 11/10 lore stars from me 👍

I only started watching your videos because of this season of Empires (I went back and watched all of season 1 pretty much immediately after your first season 2 episode) and I will definitely be sticking around for a long time now! This was my first season of empires, and while I didn't watch your pov from the start, it quickly grew to be my favourite. I think my favorite parts were how Pix tied together the histories of The Mezalean Empire and Tumble Town together as well as having the origins of the Goblins of Gobland be that they evolved from the people of The Ocean Empire!

I love your type of storytelling, and the thing with everyone (even us) making our own interpretation of the story is really good conclusion of the Empires Season 2. I enjoyed this whole series from your perspective (I actually get to know you because of it) and I can't wait for more. Also yeah, creating stories for RPG campaings is really entertaining. I think this is quite possibly the best thing I could’ve ever wished for from your finale, Pix. A historian to the end, it really feels like this final episode of Empires SMP puts a nice little bow on top of an absolutely amazing story and world.
