Being an avid history buff, I have to say you've got a great channel here. I'd always rather see a mix of footage and some narritive about the history of the place to go with it like you did here. And also thanks for not assuming or guessing anything to fill in any blanks.

Glad to see another Belgian here! Greetings from Belgium, I do car reviews in my channel! I have to say there was a time Renault was doing poor back in the 2000s. The quality of their cars. But they did improve a lot recently!

2007 was the beginning of the credit crunch, so possibly outstandingloans forced as sudden closure. Possibly due to being able to refinance.

A small 2024 update since my grandma live near the place: The card have been all removed and they added some barriers to the place but im not sure if they going to destroy the place or just sell it

Amazing place. I suggest that this young lady explore these types of objects wearing protective clothing such as long leather boots, a helmet, and leather gloves. Such places, abandoned buildings, can be dangerous and may contain various animals, insects, etc.

Hmm... That's weird. Surely someone owns the land, buildings and their contents. Even if it was under government or bank ownership, they would have worked out who owns what, and then anything not owned by the dealers would have been handed back to its rightful owner, and then they would have proceeded to sell everything else off. If it was in probate, it would have been dealt with sooner than this, surely.

Maybe the place was owned by the grandparents of that kids on the photos, and because of debt the heritage was refused, or the money and buildings are in tribunals to divide the heritage.

@@HazewinDog It just says its the new model of Renault Laguna, it doesnt mean this particular car is new. You can see from the condition that is has been used, even if it was sitting there several years.

did y'all not hear about the global recession of 2007-2009? This is RECENT history. Car shops / Moto Shops / RV dealerships all lost their shorts during then.
