Hope you guys are ready for some more Trails story time! The Fifth Dominion himself has quite a compelling backstory throughout the Trails Series, and I'm personally hoping we see way more of him in the future! It always astounds me how many of these characters have had such a tragic backstory, and Kevin definitely ranks up there as one of the more traumatic, at least in my opinion.
@@randysvids4774 maybe there's an unwritten law for game developer to make it that way... Because 'traumatic past' or 'tragic back story' are almost in every RPG ever. I feel like every RPG I've played are massive tear-jerker due to that, and personally that's why I love it. 😳 But then again, it's inevitable, especially in Trails' case. How could someone didn't have any sort of trauma if there's war, a shady organization that only accept certain people with 'darkness' in their heart (and thus create even more darkness), and a Goddess that likes to watch human suffer because of her blessing (artifacts, Sept-Terrions)? 😬 There are also literal demon, cults, and many other unexplainable occurences... So yeah....
Kevin Graham is no doubt a great character, but he seems to get the short end of the stick in popularity when compared to the likes of Estelle Bright, Rean Schwarzer and Lloyd Bannings.
I think that just speaks to how good the characters of Trails are. Granted, Kevin hasn't had as many games to establish himself, but he's still top tier for many in the fandom. But that's the thing, we have SO MANY top tier characters. But hey, it's a great problem to have in a series.
his design is lacking, i dont know how to explain it.... like ... its not something i like at first sight, i like kevin character from his story but still his design put me off
Thanks for watching as always mate! Kevin being one of the more 'main characters' of the Trails roster made this a relatively long one, but I'm happy with how it turned out.
While I love Sky series, I always tought Joshua is a bit too much of an edgelord, and Estelle is bit too much of a simple shonen protagonist. Don't get me wrong, I like both of them, I do think they compliment each other, and Sky SC is a damn great sequel. But Kevin is the my guy, he act like a grown up, get the job done, and even though his trauma hinder him, he still function like an adult and eventually overcome it. As much as Joshua and Estelle are legendary Trails character, Kevin and Ries are the one that feels balanced, has enough depth dan fun personality even though its just a facade, and address each other problem like a grown up.
Think the Markebah 5 was spotted in one of the Hajimari trailers. Would love to see these 2 again. I really should get onto the translated Crossbell games before CS4 releases XD. Great video.
You're right! I believe an image was shown of a fair amount of the Merkabah in formation. Some of the numbers were 'unknown' to us - so I'm looking forward to seeing what the Church has in store for us!
I wanted to find a good long game for the Vita to fill my time. I was at my local GameStop looking for "Final Fantasy X-X2" and saw a game with really cool cover art "Trails of Cold Steel". The uniformed kids, and the swords, I had too look this up. I went home, and checked RU-vid for reviews. The only thing I was unsure of was the bonding system, but I figured I'd give it a try. Bought it, played it, loved it, and have been in love with anything Falcom ever since.
"I hold in my hand the Chalice of Heaven. May its holiest of light act as our shield." I've always found it interesting that, while he gains offensive S-Crafts as you progress through the 3rd, his initial S-Craft is purely for protection. As if the pain of his mother's death and the guilt of Rufina's death led him to always seek to protect those close to him, despite his carefree/playboy facade and Heretic Hunter nickname. Phenomenal treatment of Kevin, TKN! Love seeing great Kiseki content like this!
Thank you for watching man, and very interesting analogy! Kevin has always wanted to 'protect' I feel, but his failure to do so is what breaks him early on. Not only that, but failing TWICE is just rubbing more salt in the wounds. I can totally relate to a person who feels that they are to blame, he's got a lot of empathy, and that's why many love him.
I agree with you 100% on that Kevin Graham is going to come back, most likely in the next arc after CS4 with great importance. And like you said, the Septium Church is basically just as powerful as Ouroboros. Both party's influence is widespread across all of Zemuria and aren't bound to Erebonia's tyranny. This makes me feel like the grand scheme of things involves Kevin at the core as shown by the role he played in Ao no Kiseki.
It will be ludicrous if he doesn't return. There's something more at work than 'just the Society'. The Church are collecting artifacts for a reason I believe, but obviously we'll have to see if this theory ever develops in to something concrete.
Great video! I absolutely love this series of yours, please continue making more. There are still so many great characters in this series to have an in depth look at. Would love to see one on my second favorite character: Olivier Lenheim (maybe cover my 10th favorite character prince Olivert Reise Arnor in the same video given how close he is to Olivier Lenheim)
Glad you enjoyed it mate. :) My boy Olivier is gonna have to wait till our latest localised adventure is released, there are quite a few from the Cold Steel Arc that I want to cover when it's all said and done!
I really like it when you make videos about characters from trails series! I hope next time you make videos about ouroboros members too especially McBurn, i'm a fan of ouroboros xD
Thank you for watching! I intend to do more, and I have delved in to one Ouroboros member in Leonhardt, but the issue is many of them are still shrouded in mystery. :( Maybe as we learn more I can delve ever further in.
He's just the goat. 3rd is fucking amazing and my favorite out of Sky because of the loose ends it ties up and just how good its core story is. The entire pacing - there really is no point that is boring.
The whole afraid of a power he can't control thing reminds me or rean And just like rean He had someone who insisted he think better of himself Ries for kevin Elise for rean Thank both of them get to have happier mindsets going forward
Sky the 3rd may be the black sheep of the series, but I don't find that to be a bad thing at all. Aside from being a fresh change of pace from being a bracer or bracer surrogate, Kevin's story is my favorite out of any Trails character. A dark turn from Estelle, Kevin's a compelling, experienced man whose backstory wouldn't be out of place in Berserk, and is nice to look back at after the haremy Lloyd and Rean. Sky the 3rd is an entirely character driven narrative, and even if Trails has the best world building in anything, Kevin stands as a fantastic example that Falcom isn't a one-trick pony. And the more he's excluded from art with Estelle, Lloyd, and Rean, the more I love him.
I've started this video and instantly paused. I have no intention to watch (yet) as I'm making my way through the Sky arc. Just wanted to comment to thank you again for your quality content and I can't wait to watch this...at some point haha! Time to add to Watch Later :)
I haven't played this game due to the fact that it's only available on PC but I've made sure to at least do my diligence and research the story Nonetheless you did a great job on this and honestly you made Kevin Graham easily a character to look forward to and respect 🙏 Also his back story had me in the feels 😢
