Please dont look at it as your Dad giving up. He knew he was ready. There is a huge differance. He was able to see his dream of his little girl growing up and knew Jason would protect you. His job in raising you was finished, you were now grown and married and he was at peace with that. ❤
Thank you for the lovely story. We so enjoy all of your videos. We miss Mary Carl. We learned so much from her. She's a young lady now and we completely respect her will for more privacy. Your videos bring so much joy to us. A couple times now we have had Cog Hill night and watched a marathon of videos.
A Hallmark Movie!!! I've watched yall since the house in town. I would have never guessed that house had houses so close. The trees we're the security there. MaryCarl was just a little girl that loved her birds. Just like she does today. What grade is MaryCarl in Brooke ?? Love yall's videos!!!! Love yall 💛
Amen girl, when my dad passed after surviving cancer 5 times, 5 mind you, and a debilitating stroke, he laid in pain and suffering for 4 months. My husband couldn't understand my reaction at first, until he walked that path. Everyone knows that sad, sweet, painful relief. Praise God and all his blessings.
I felt the same way this last month. My sister had been sick for the past 13 years with UTIs and sepsis. She was in a nursing home for 3 years with no quality of life. Three weeks ago she passed, and I was so thankful. My best friend lost her Dad the evening of my sister's graveside services, and felt the same way. At times everyone is at peace with someone's passing. Bless you
15:39 Nugget smiling when you said you and Jason went to Disneyworld for your honeymoon. Brooke, you are such a natural storyteller. I felt like you were reading a book to me. I felt the excitement, the sadness, the happiness, that both you and Jason endured. Both you and Jason are a team and were meant to be together and were given a beautiful girl who has grown up intelligent. Thank you for sharing your story, Brooke. I truly enjoyed it. Have an awesome day. 🥰🥰🤗🤗
I loved this, Brooke. After my husband died in my arms at age 57, I too felt immense relief that his suffering was over... only to feel guilty for having that feeling. So, thank you for sharing this intimate story with us. I could listen to you guys for hours. You bring some peace into this world. Thank you. BTW, there are no coincidences, just divine intervention.
Awesome story Brooke. My mom had kidney cancer it spread to her bones and 6 months later she passed away. She was only 46 yrs old. I love you and Jason's love story. ❤️
Ahhh I love your story! You both are so very sweet and the gentleness you show each other, MaryCarl and your pets so many could learn a lot from you all. Thanks for taking us along
This story sounds like it was very cathartic for you to tell it. So glad that your Dad got to see you get married and taken care of by a good man and he was at peace! And I'm sure he met Mary Carl in heaven and kissed her spirit( soul) before she came to be born as your daughter! The Lord has had His Hand on you and Jason right from the beginning from when you first met, right until this very day! God Bless!
Thank you Brooke for the beautiful story of you and Jason. You are a great story teller. Your channel content is getting better in each episode! Continue the great work! God bless you, Jason and MC.❤🙏❤🙏
Thank You Brooke for letting me/us in Yours & Jason's life. We look forward to seeing You Both every day. MaryCarl is a smart Young Lady. Nancy from Georgia, USA.
Thank you, Mrs Cog Hill for sharing yours and Jason’s beautiful love story. Your old farm was gorgeous and when the 40 farm is said and done it’s going to be just as gorgeous. You are wonderful family!
Although I have heard this story in fragments before it was lovely to hear it completely, from start to now. Thank you, Brooke ❤ lots of love and good wishes to all members of you families, and animals, too, of course from UK 🇬🇧
That was a wonderful story. You both were meant to be together. And I know about the relief you felt when your dad passed. My dad passed 20 years ago from cancer. And all I could feel was relief that he was no longer suffering. May you have a wonderful day!💖💖💖
Beautiful story ,naming Mary Carl after your Dad is a very sweet tribute to such a brave man ,the Animals were having a blast while you were relating the story ,have a wonderful week Brooke Jason Mary Carl and Momma, and the Coghill farm fam ❤
Dear Brooke I know that relief you spoke of. I experienced the same with my father’s passing. You expressed that so beautifully. The knowing is in the living of that moment. 🙏🏽💓🥹 Thank you for sharing the story or yours and Jason’s journey. With each video I grow to admire and respect your precious family and farm even more. Continued blessings to you and yours Brooke. 🙏🏽💓💐
What an absolutely amazing story, Brooke. It shows in every video how much you love each other and are completely in tune with each other. I'm so sorry about your dad, I lost mine 10 years ago. It never gets easier for me anyway. Please make a part 2 and let us know how you got into farming and what was the 1st animal you got? I'm just so interested. Have a great day!! Much love from Scotland ❤️ 🏴🏴🏴
I'M Anita: Thank you Brooke for sharing yours and Jason's story with us! I enjoyed it so much! I luv to hear how couples meet and started their lives and ended up where y'all are now! Such a Beautiful Family! You and Jason were just meant to be! God Bless Y'all and God Bless All the Animals
I love how you and Jason get it done, whatever it is, job wise on the farm. You, Jason, and Mary Carl, are incredible with your animals, sharing your lives with us, and just having fun. Blessings to you guys and all your babies ❤🙏❤
Sorry Brooke, but this brought tears, because I had 2 daughters who passed away with cancer 4 months apart , I still hurt , this was in 2007, l feel for your Dad. I think you are right, he wanted his little girl to marry Jason before he passed. It’s shame the Drs. made the wrong call. You had a wonderful Dad, Thanks for sharing your story, God bless you. ❤
Thank you for sharing that heart warming, very personal story, Brooke.. That was wonderful! I knew pieces of it, from watching many of the Cog Hill videos, but it was helpful to know the other important details & the life timeline. Thank you so much for all that you & Jason & MaryCarl share of your lives!! Loved the animals also, as you shared this! You have such a peaceful & pleasant farm & home! BLESSINGS to you all!!❤👏🥰🚜🏡💖🙏
BROOKE, I'M SITTING HERE CRYING. IDK HOW YOU CAN TELL THIS STORY WO CRYING YOUR EYES OUT. I DO KNOW THAT YOU ARE STRONG AND THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS!!! THANK YOU FOR TELLING YOUR STORY. I KNOW YOUR DADDY IS SO PROUD OF YOU. I LOVE YOU AND JASON SO MUCH!!! AND MARY CARL OF COURSE. THIS STRIKES A CHORD. THANKS AGAIN. MUCH LOVE AND RESPECT.
Thank you for sharing your story, We loved seeing y’all Saturday. We were so blessed to be able to purchase items from a lot of the RU-vidrs and also get to take pictures to show our family.
Thank you so much for Sharing all that with us Brooke, I was absolutely transfixed listening for the whole 31 mins! It struck me how incredible things interlocked and timed themselves amazingly. You had the 2 most important men in your life at one point with only one kidney each. And I don't believe your Dad 'gave up', I think he was just finally content thinking you were safe and settled with a good man, and that you'd both equally look after your Mum when he was gone. I never knew your Dad's name was Carl, that will make me smile now every time I hear MaryCarl's name mentioned. My only regret would be that he never got to meet her. Again, thank you so much for taking the time to Share it all with us. Love the whole gang, from an old 'broad' in the UK!*! ❤
Loved the story of how you met. Yes, please continue with how you started to have Animals. You are both so gifted in the way you relate to Animals. My sister and I watch a lot of homesteading shows but the Cog Hill channels are our favorites.❤
I love stories about how people meet and end up married. Thanks for sharing your story. You two are probably one of the most perfectly matched couples I know of. God bless you and yours.
I love this story and hearing the birth of Cog Hill Farm!! My dad's name was Carl (and I'm Carla). He too was finally diagnosed with kidney cancer in May of 1988 after a series of false diagnoses. They removed his kidney, claiming it was encapsulated with no signs of metastasis. A few months later he started feeling bad again and they discovered it had spread to his liver and beyond. They stated it was too far gone for any kind of chemo to work. He was gone by December 17th, 1988, six days before his 63rd Birthday.
Loved listening about how you and Jason met. I truly love listening to your channel and about the animals you all have. You make everyone feel like part of your family. You are my favorite family. Much love from me to your family.
Loved your story Brooke! So sweet of you to share with us. Made me cry during the part about your dad. I know how hard it is to lose a parent to cancer. My mom was diagnosed with stage IV appendix cancer very unexpectedly. Once she started chemo it was a very tough battle for almost 3 years. I am an only child too and a very closeknit family. I cared for her day and night throughout her battle and its very hard to watch them in pain and know that their time is limited. Your dad was determined to walk you down that aisle and that is a cherisged memory you'll have forever. So special that your mom lives there with y'all. Time passes by so fast and I know you cherish your time with your family and thank y'all so much for sharing a part with us. We enjoy your stories and would love to hear more. So glad you made a channel too from your prespective but love the main channel with you both too. I also enjoy the kids show Jason started.
Loved your story, Brooke. It’s amazing how we find the love of our lives when we’re not really looking. You and Jason are a hard working team and work so well together. Love your videos. And y’all!❤️
Wonderful love story❤ Your Dad was able to relax and go home knowing you were loved and someone was there for you and your mother. I know that feeling. My Dad passed shortly after we all graduated and married. His job was done too. Also cancer. Your face when talking about the tractor was pure joy!!❤🚜Game on😂We learn as we go. We learned a lot building also. Sometimes the hard way. I'm still married to my highschool sweetheart after 44 yrs. One child also. We've learned a lot together over the years and are still learning.❤ Everyday!🙏thank you Brooke for sharing. Wonderful story. ❤
