how someone can take an obvious influence like liam gallagher/oasis, an cross it over to another genre in their own way is brilliant absolutely brillant, fair play.
@@samowen8446 Very weak stage presence, playing relatively simple tunes but barely moving or giving off any energy. Snooooooze fest. I do like the band though, It's probably just that this album has less energy than their previous ones
I was in the crowd, so much more emotional when you're there, recording didnt do it justice. Plus it was so hot that day that tent was baking think people were just glad to take a breather
Matt Bailey He has a history of overusing opiates and doing lean (cough syrup and Sprite IIRC) and became addicted. Naturally that has an effect on your body from the way you look, talk, act, and even move. The guy has made such incredible progress and this latest album with his vocal strength and the change in attitude in his lyrics, not to mention how much better his live performances are, is just fantastic
Brendon Davis yeh wow ! Thanks for the detailed info man appreciate it . Couldn’t find much online about his voice change just the RU-vid comments everyone was going on about it haha
Most of his lyrics didn’t really allude to drugs until this new album, where he really leaned into his problems for listeners and how he’s turning around. Their single “Out of It” is of course all about his addiction to Xanax/Percs Lyrics in the new album also include phrases like “red bottle, white cap,” “yellow pills, purple glow,” and he opens up listeners to a different side of him with phrases like “forcing myself to get better by fall; will you be there if I fall?” “My pessimistic views stem from all the drugs I use; hide all my guilt inside this bruise. It’s my ruse. Bet if you keep this up, you’ll die all alone” etc.
24, staring in your face like it's the front of the door I know right now is hard 'cause this all feels like a chore I don't want this as a job help me find something more I cannot tell the ceiling from the floor Is this really what you want? Swear I never meant to haunt All I ever do is taunt Couldn't handle how you flaunt Now it's quiet on the front Has been for so many months Now it's wild to remember I was in love with you once It's all love now, upside down It's all love now, upside down Let me go, cut the leash before I lose us in a bad undertow Have to channel how you made me feel To play every show Make my snide suggestions About the things I don't know I will not catch a feeling I'll just float All that time across the pond All this resin in my lungs No more room to shoulder on Am I even having fun? Colin's sleeping with his gun Scott is looking for the one Mertz is going by Ryan Now that we've all had our run It's all love now, upside down It's all love now, upside down Carry baggage I can't put down Every show, every night, every town Carry baggage I can't put down Every show, every night, every town It's all love now, upside down It's all love now, upside down It's all love now (It's all love now), upside down (upside down) It's all love now (It's all love now), upside down (upside down)
brockhampilton they do sound great it’s just Parker’s energy has changed with Proper Dose if you watch any old videos he was not using a mic stand half the time
I really really love this band, I also saw them live and it was a fucking blast. But the vocals are somehow always a little problematic. I mean the guy can sing, no question. And I can imagine Parkers voice is hard to fit in a live mix. But this one especially was way too dry. No sustain, too dynamic. Sounds very thin and shakey.
Sodium Lights i know its not nerves man ive been in love with this band since i was 16, its just unrealistic to expect a pitch perfect performance live from anyone
I think when you move less and don’t have as much presence on stage, people tend to pick on the artist more for perfection in their performance. Not bad at all, I just think they’ve sounded better in the past
